30 year-old Trevor May and his career 5.00 ERA looks exactly like who he is. Not sure why this guy keeps getting chances - guess when you're branded a 'high potential" guy you can make a nice living off that.

He's got a live arm that can touch the high 90s, he's dirt cheap, and if you remove his awful rookie season that happened a half-decade ago, he's got a 4.15 ERA. A team that prides itself on developing pitchers should have figured out how to get this guy to work.

 

And there you go, May did a better job than Harper and Duffey did.

That didn't look like May's normal stuff, I thought he usually sat 94-95 with the fastball and used the breaking ball as a secondary pitch. Tonight he's consistently throwing 97-98 (with the last pitch at 100) and only using the change-up as a secondary pitch.
