Darius Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I have zero confidence when we get into bullpen battles like this. ESPN win probability says we a 61.5% chance of winning. I feel like it’s really about 10%.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 BS call, laz Diaz stinks He does. But you can't look at that pitch. I'd have rung him up too.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 In all seriousness and as constructively as I can put it to find a quick solution. Dear Twins Front Office, Send a pitch by pitch tape of this game to the Major League offices and ask for escalated discussion of an Automated Strike Zone. Sincerely, RiverbrianYou're going to let a dozen bad apples spoil the whole peck?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He does. But you can't look at that pitch. I'd have rung him up too. Then I’d tell you you stink too
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cruz Missle on the launch pad
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 You're going to let a dozen bad apples spoil the whole peck? I had to look up "Peck".
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 He does. But you can't look at that pitch. I'd have rung him up too.No, you can. The strike zone doesn't change based on the inning, count, or score. That was a ball 0-2,3-0, or 3-2. Laz missed it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Oh my god that first pitch to Cruz should have been hit to Fergus falls wherever that is
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'd take Larnach or Kirilloff!I wonder if the Twins brain trust thinks either of them are close enough to ready to give either one the opportunity.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I’m not sure why players on their physical decline get run out of the league while umpires get the Supreme Court Justice treatment.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Guess a win's gonna have to be a walk-off.
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm not watching all of this game; I'm in and out a little bit. This ump is a bit erratic, isn't he? That's like saying the HIndenberg was a slight mishap ....
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 II feel like it’s really about 10%.It comes through.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 The longer this goes, the more nervous I get. It has nothing to do with how shaky the Braves bullpen is. It has everything to do with how shaky our bullpen (and defense) is.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Then I’d tell you you stink too Wouldn't be the first or last time I've heard it! That box that TV puts up there is not exactly accurate. If it was, Kepler shouldn't have seen that last pitch because the 2-1 pitch had the box in the up & in portion. That being said, Laz Diaz is about as consistent as a teenager making their curfew.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Since the indians lost, there's almost zero chance we win this game
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I had to look up "Peck". So "Dozen" no longer is the stumper it once was for you?
Blake Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 I wonder if the Twins brain trust thinks either of them are close enough to ready to give either one the opportunity.Consider Arraez was a surprise addition, have to believe the FO is looking at a lot of internal options.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I wonder if the Twins brain trust thinks either of them are close enough to ready to give either one the opportunity.I'd like to think so! Unfortunately there's the service time implications!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 That's like saying the HIndenberg was a slight mishap .... I'm trying not to exaggerate but I don't believe I've ever seen so many missed calls on both sides. I don't think anyone is getting an advantage but I do believe he is changing the game.
BD57 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Just wish Trevor was balanced in his motion - he seems to be falling all over the place much more often than not. I know, I'm no expert; just think it's easier to be consistent when you stay in balance.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Since the indians lost, there's almost zero chance we win this gameWhere did you look that up? That's quite a stat.
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Consider Arraez was a surprise addition, have to believe the FO is looking at a lot of internal options.I hope so, because trades are obviously no longer an option this year.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 So "Dozen" no longer is the stumper it once was for you? I'm not that uneducated. Driving is something that I "Dozen" a car.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 May needed that for himself as much as the team needed it.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Beautiful set up there, atta boy May!

I don't think anyone is getting an advantage but I do believe he is changing the game. Oh, he's definitely changed the game - can't say for sure "how" or "in what way," but when your strike zone moves all over the place the way this guy's does, you're constantly putting hitters and pitchers in counts they haven't earned, and that definitely will change the game.
