I swear to you (and I just spent five minutes searching youtube for this) but there was an announcer who said the following, "Andujar Cedeno is hit by the pitch... and it's hit over the fence.... for a home run!"

Wasn't Duffey's last game the one where he pitched the 10th inning and gave up the winning run (due to errors) for the Royals?

He struck out swinging. It would have been a groundball to short if Sano didn't strike out all the time, though.

 

I bet his entire one column is full of strikeouts.

Overheard during the 2019 World Series victory parade for players and their families...

 

"Daddy, why do the other players call you "Uh Oh Duffey"?

Tying two game thread topics together, my buddy used to write ridiculous nicknames on the strato cards of his players.

 

He provided us with amazing nicknames such as "Nightmare" Freddy Sanchez, "Lasanga Arm" Tim Stauffer (not lasagna), "Piss Bucket" Jeremy Accardo, and "Smokin Heat" Juan Guzman.
