Just watched that. That looked awful. Poor guy. Always hoped he was going to be a beast for the Twins. Hope this isn't career ending; although, it sure looked like it might be.

Yikes, that looked worse than usual. Reminds me of Joel Zumaya. I guess this is why the FO didn't bother protecting him, as they probably didn't think he could stay healthy.

Weird, I always thought baseball was a team game.

You really believe that simply having been on a championship TEAM automatically makes you a clutch player, and never being on a championship TEAM makes you unclutch?

Can you give me some examples of Gonzalez' leadership skills that led to the Astros WS title, aside from simply being on their roster?

You could just remember the 2017 World Series. Or if you didn't watch it you could go back and watch the tape. Houston is not my team but I am sure i could prove it with statistics, quotes and interviews from teammates, coaches, and fans, or illustrating how he filled in for all the injuries during their fantastic 2017 regular season. If you require all of that over my opinion of Michael Brantley then I'm way more important than I ever thought I was. Love him if you want to. He's someone that Im glad we dont have to play against 19 times a year anymore. He's also someone I'd never want to see in a Minnesota Twins uniform.

Nick Burdi hurt himself pretty badly tonight. Crying on the mound. 

 

Worked all the way back and now he hurt himself again.

I checked in on that Pirates game to see what happened, and it was just heartbreaking.

 

You've really got to feel for this kid. Man, all that work he did to get himself back- and wow, what a line he had coming in- 8.1 innings, 17 Ks! Just went down in a heap after throwing a pitch- and the whole ballpark just silent.

I guess i put more stake in winning Championships than i do launch angles, exit velocity...

The guys who won the past few championships were the ones leading the launch angle and exit velo analytics parade.

I called that pitch and location. The previous pitch Correa was leaning over the plate to hit the curve. Harper hit Castro's spot, problem is 91 is pretty average.

The Twins are going to have to do something to upgrade the bullpen. The team just can't survive with only 3 guys that have earned any degree of trust (Rogers, Hildenberger, and Parker).

Oh man, that poor dude. The way he reached for his bicep was like he tore it. I hope it's not as bad as it looks. Burdi looked like he was in serious pain.

It looked bad. I hope it's something in the muscle that's heals quickly without surgery. It always seemed like he couldn't catch a break; hopefully this time he does.

Namely the number of outs in an inning?

 

I am going to be really angry if he got more than three outs...
