  1. Buxton CF Keashall 2B Castro 3B Larnach RF Sabato 1B Wallner DH Bader LF Lee SS Jeffers C I don't trust Lewis nor Correa with the bat right now and I believe Correa's contract is going to become an albatross sooner rather than later.
  2. I'd really like to see Bader signed for another 2 years. High energy guy that seems to lead by example on the field is invaluable. He and Keashall are a dynamic pairing! Sabato looks like he's making a decision about France a difficult one for the front office. That would move Clemens over to 2B and maybe that would allow for Brooks/Castro to give Correa a couple of spells each week. Regarding the Trade Deadline, I think it would be worth it to maximize the value of 1 or 2 of our Bullpen Studs. I'd be curious to see what I could get for Jax and Duran. My guess is...a lot. The time is now to retool and reset for a new core to take over. The Catching depth is shallow. The SP pipeline isn't showing that its all its cracked up to be. With Jenkins', Gonzalez', and E-Rod's arrivals maybe next year or in 2027 I'd say the Outfield depth is ok, but, those are elements of the new core that must be built around. Jax, Duran, and one of Larnach/Wallner should net some solid additions to that core. Perhaps Lewis finds it this year and stays healthy next year. Perhaps Culpepper is making a push next year too....my vote is for restocking. And now.
  3. McCusker has to get the call now right? I bet he struggles due to his K% and wows with a few moon shots on mistake pitches.
  4. I think I need to see the K-rate improve before I'm sold on him like I am with Zebby. Get Zebby in the rotation NOW.
  5. MacLeod's WHIP has been high since he became a pro. BB/9 at 4.6 this year. Needs to get those things ironed out before being labeled as a Top 30 Prospect I suspect. K/9 is great! Something to build from.
  6. And this is why I think the time to trade Lee is now.
  7. I'm not on here enough these days to know whether I'm leading or just on the "trade-Lee-for-high-end-pitching" bandwagon, but, the Twins should consider trading Lee for high end pitching. Obviously, it's a wildly unpopular view, but, I doubt his trade value will get much higher than right now. As you mentioned, the Marlins seem like a great fit. I'd be asking for Garrett and would be willing to add an OF or Pitching prospect in the 15-25 range to get him. For that matter, I'd be willing to shop our #3 and #3.5 prospects as well. Hell, add one of them to the above deal (plus others I'd assume) and have them add a Luzardo-type. They trade from surplus, and we trade from surplus. Man, armchair-GMing is easy!
  8. I don't have a lot of confidence in SWR and I believe there is a bit of hopium surrounding his potential. I'm concerned with his velo and secondary stuff. Back of rotation starter is where I'd bet he ends up. I'd be delighted to eat crow, though.
  9. Add Raya and another prospect in the 10-20 range and I still think the Twins win that trade.
  10. I don't think it'd be hard to get him an extension considering all the talent coming up. The Twins are set up to do well for a while. Adding a guy like Cease to be battery mates with Lopez for 3+ years is a great selling point.
  11. Raya seems like a Berrios-lite. The OP mentioned that Lee may be currently over valued so it might be time to capitalize on some quality, young, controllable pitching. My guess is that pairing him with the likes of E-Rod (who may also be currently overvalued) and perhaps Festa might net a couole of young, quality arms that can be plugged into the rotation now.
  12. Using this list to evaluate trade candidates I'm trading: 1. Raya 2. E-Rod (for pitching) 3. Lee (for pitching) Send all three in a package to either Seattle or Miami for 2 of their SPs. If it takes adding Festa, so be it. Also, Walker Jenkins gets a cup of coffee with the Twins this September and is my starting CF in 2025.
  13. Glasnow helps in 2024 and has the potential to legitimately replace Sonny's 2023 performance. The salary hit is around $15m (difference between the two). Perhaps we throw in a decent A-Level lottery SP prospect (someone in the Top 15-25 range? Rays need salary relief and the Twins need a Top of the rotation SP. According to Baseball Trade Value, this is a level trade (with a lottery throw in).
  14. 2025 Lineup: Julien DH Lee 2B Lewis 3B Walker CF Rodriguez LF Walner RF Kirilloff 1B Correa SS Jeffers C DO NOT trade E-Rod. That is a line-up that will do damage.
  15. Don't know if or how many times it's been mentioned, but, Alex Rodriguez is a poor color comentator and his play-by-play teammate ain't much better. The two of them are unquestionably underwhelming and uninspiring.
  16. I don't consider SWR one of the Twins' Top 15 or 20 Prospects, so he probably wouldn't be in this list for me.
  17. For those calling to replace Kepler, next year's RHB OF Class leaves a little to be desired. Gurriel is intriguing to me. As is Bader. Perhaps trade market is the way to go?
