Game Thread Twins @ Astros, 7:10pm CDT 4/22/2019 ad

[glunn]

Not a great lead by Buxton there.

[bighat]

Buxton's streak comes to an end. As long as the Twins win streak continues, we'll live with that. Great throw, absolutely perfectly executed by the catcher.

[twinssporto]

POLANCO BABY!!!!

[glunn]

Whew!

[bighat]

Jorge is the man today! And most other days, too!

[operation mindcrime]

Woooooooo Hip Hip Jorge!!!!!

Yeah, it was a mediocre attempt and yet it still took a perfect throw by a plus arm.

And Polanco goes deep, so at least BB's CS doesn't affect the game as much.

Thank you Mr. Reddick.

[wavedog]

Yes, Polanco! Way to get a couple runs back. Wow just snuck over the fence and wide of Redding’s glove

[twinssporto]

The Twins lineup is mean! Like Grizzly Bear mean!

[drock2190]

The way Reddick is playing tonight he must have Polanco on his fantasy team.

I think Reddick should have caught that, and am glad he did not.

[LaBombo]

Thank you Mr. Reddick.

He's been ereddick all night.

[MMMordabito]

Can the rest of the bullpen (sans Rogers) hold this together? Not holding my breath ...

[TNTwinsFan]

Code for "They tell me we're not pitching to contact any more, and our guys don't throw hard"

Except Dick was pointing out that Odorizzi was consistently hitting 93-94 with his FB...Bert needs to retire from broadcasting.

Good one.

[wavedog]

Really I get autocorrected on Reddick?

[Linus]

First game back after vacation. God I miss Morneau.

Rocco tempting fate by throwing Mejia out there again.

[twins_89]

It's sad that a 4 run lead doesn't feel safe in the 8th inning.

[Don Walcott]

I’d really like to see Beto close this one out!

[Don Walcott]

Eddie!!

[twinssporto]

Mean Eddie with the nice snag in LF!

[glunn]

The bright side is that the non-Rogers guys are getting a chance to pitch in medium leverage situations. In the long run the Twins can hopefully find one or two relievers who can be clutch.

Four run lead and he needs to learn to be clutch.

[wavedog]

Double-Play c’mon

[Tovar12]

Double-Play c’mon

We gotta be last in the majors in turning them, right?  I can't remember seeing one in a long time.

[glunn]

Double-Play c’mon

The strikeout was almost as nice. Good for Mejia's confidence.

[LaBombo]

That's Reddickulous.

Then again, when I asked my phone for 'Fangraphs Reddick' I got a recipe for Balsamic Radicchio.

I really mead to enunciate butter.
