RedBull34 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Base open for Astudillo. The numbers say give him a free pass. I bet they don’t.I'd take another 2B.
Blake Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Have you been reading the Indians' website?I should edit that, and, more accurately, "from what I remember reading." Maybe it's just an impression I've had and that impression doesn't resemble what I've seen on the field.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 LOLOLOLOL. Indians are the self-destructors this game!
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I'm going to go ahead and credit Astudillo for that second run too; other players just panic when he's at bat.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I know its still early in the season and its a SSS, blah, blah, blah... But boys and girls I think we have a real team this year. Just sayin'.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Ha, Cleveland deserves those runs! Why do you pitch to a guy who doesn’t strikeout with 1B open, one out and two runners on?!
glunn Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 If they had walked Astudillo those two runs would not have scored.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Schoop shouldn't have been running there, but thankfully that throw to 3rd was 4 feet over the guy's head. Wow.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Andrew Wiggins needs to drink some of that koolaidThat would be wishful drinking.
GCTF Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 If they had walked Astudillo those two runs would not have scored. He would've found a way to get them in anyway.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Yeah Schoop! Such a catchy name, and fun to say. Would make a good song lyric...
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Schoop shouldn't have been running there, but thankfully that throw to 3rd was 4 feet over the guy's head. Wow. The gods were smiting Francona for his hubris in thinking Neal Rameriz would strike out the world’s most un-strike-out-able hitter.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 If they had walked Astudillo those two runs would not have scored. For sure. But just seeing 'walk' and 'Astudillo' in the same sentence makes me think 'improbable' and 'missed opportunity for wacky fun'.
GCTF Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 un-strike-out-ableWebster's 2019 word of the year.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Such a catchy name, and fun to say. Would make a good song lyric...
gil4 Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 High marks for properly identifying your audience.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Having Cruz in this lineup adds a whole other level of depth. It will be fun to see Sano join him soon.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Wow, the Twins havent had a hitter like Cruz in a long time. Probably since the 2010 version of Morneau
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Okay... Astudillo needs to be in the lineup almost every dayNo reason for him not to be, he's the perfect situational hitter
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Okay... Astudillo needs to be in the lineup almost every dayNo reason for him not to be, he's the perfect situational hitterIf he is indeed the perfect situational hitter, then he is just as valuable off the bench, if not more so.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 La Tortuga — so awesome he scores on his own sac fly.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 See previous note on La Tortuga — not even Chuck Norris or the Dos Equis guy can do that!
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 This Cleveland offense looks brutal, not sure how much even Lindor will change that.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 La Tortuga doesn't always drink beer. But when he does, he prefers Dos Equis.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I know Clevelands got some great pitching but I am certainly not convinced they will win the division. I think they are WAY over hyped. Their lineup is not intimidating at all...I would take the Twins team over the Cleveland team any day of the week. I know Cleveland's missing Lindor but even then this team doesn't seem all that scary. I think people will be surprised at the end of September.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Boo pinch hitting. Pile on the runs!
