sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 Man, I am so ready to be done with Gibson. Also, I thought the game was at 1:10, not 12:10. I can never remember if the time was CT or ET! Doh. Looks like i made a similar mistake with the start time of the second game... It is 6:10 CDT, not 7:10... Now i'm thinkin' of a game thread interlude, or something like that, while i wait for lineups to appear.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Author Posted August 17, 2017 Out of 27 outs. Nice. Don't forget at least 2 baserunning outs? And were there double plays turned against us? I wasn't paying close enough attention... But i guess that should speak well for our average on balls in play this game!

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 must be a typo in the espn box score -- says 19 twins strikeouts.Club record even. Now I'm interested to know the record for a double header. This could get uglier.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Boshers down, Turley up.I like this, Boshers has turned into a LOOGY and Molitor has no idea how to use a LOOGY (see O'Rourke). It's time for Turley to prove his spot on the 40 man roster.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Buxton flashed some more power......that's the beginning and end of the positives.
jun Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Pressly and Perkins need to be sent down as well. I don't think Turley can get major league players out though. Turley might very likely to be one of those AAAA players.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Was Kepler hurt in the first game?
bighat Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Great to see the Glen Perkins Farewell Tour is more important to the Twins (why?) than winning ball games. Same goes for the manager, he stinks but it's sure folksy to ask him about his favorite walleye fishing hole on that Twins Caravan! Maybe we should bring back Hrbek, that jolly old guy really got the hometown fans chipper. Any other washed up native Minnesotans we can bring in to ruin the team?

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I just watched the 8-4-2 putout single with men on first and second two times. I can't for the life of me figure out how that happened.

jun Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 It would be SO nice to have Garver instead of Gimenez who hits like a pitcher in the lineup.
jun Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 It's a typical Twins like inning. 3 hits 3 on 1 out and 0 RUN.
jun Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Slegers should be promoted much earlier along with Garver.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Bases loaded, nobody out. Bert: "Another great opportunity here." That's the kind of in-depth analysis I really enjoy.
jun Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I think Escobar learned from last AB for a pitcher so hittable there is no reason to take any pitch close to the plate.
