Maybe Falvine will surprise everyone and bring up Garver. He's certainly a better option to DH. And he's probably not a substantially inferior outfielder than Grossman.

 

The options for DH with a Granite call up are a rotation of Sano, Mauer, Escobar and Rosario and maybe Kepler.

 

My vote is Garver.

Here are the moves I would like after tonight:

 

Granite for Grossman; we need a 4th outfielder. I don't want to see Esco or Adrian out there.

Sleegers for Gibson; I'm tired of watching Gibson pitch, and Aaron looked good tonight

Garver for Gimenez; It is a long shot but it needs to be done. Giminez can't hit

Just commented Slegers has to go down as he's the 26th man for the double header. But couldn't he be kept as an injury replacement for Grossman?

Boshers was sent down for Turley. Enns is on the DL, replace by Perkins. So, I think only three. One of whom has gotten zero outs as a MLB reliever. Another who has gotten 1 in the last 16 months.

I don't think Castro is awful. Inconsistent at times, but not awful. Some power, decent OB, especially considering the AVG. Used properly, he and Garver could be pretty effective IMO.

If I read the rule correctly that would be the only way we can keep him. But there's no way they'll keep a starting pitcher who wouldn't be able to pitch in the next doubleheader on Monday when they need another position player.
