It's still a minor league signing, hence the move to the minor league forum. He hasn't played on the Twins major league team ever ... hopefully ever.

I'm not arguing with you. Although "Buddy Boshers" is the kind of name I can look past horrible roster management to embrace. :)

According to the Long Island Ducks, yes!

 

The Toros de Tijuana deployed Ford mostly in RF, although that was out of deference to the incomparable Eduardo Arredondo, of course.

 

I know it's mostly against suspect competition, but Ford has had a pretty impressive and thorough record the past 6 years since returning from Japan.  I might give him a job in AAA ahead of Benson and Mastroianni at this point.

I see TR is going with the  "Our Starting Rotation Is So Good We Don't Need Reliever" strategy. . . .  Ballsy.

Today, Buddy Boshers is back in the big leagues. Called up because the Twins past two starters have failed to get through four innings. Mastroianni to the DL, Perkins to the 60-Day DL.

LOL  I was wondering why anyone was resurrecting this from last year!

I enjoyed reading this thread from start to finish, which I knew would end with the inevitable punch line.

Boshers, Kintzler and Dean, all in the Twins bullpen. Who could ever have doubted the plan?

 

And they're not done, Runzler, Burnett, Wimmers and are all likely to still get a shot this year, as well.

Hey, at least they're trying something in the bullpen. I just wish they would take this attitude to the starting rotation and the infield. Sadly, there's very little that can be done in the outfield until Buxton is ready to come back..

 

Move Mauer out there?

Move Plouffe out there?

Sign another FA vet?

Buxton could be alot closer than we think... DicknBert hinted at the potential for imminent call-up last night. And he's been raking in the month of May in AAA.

sigh.... also, back to a 3 man bench for the Twins. 

 

They should probably just re-add Milone then, he's a better hitter than most of the bench anyway.

He does not suck. Last I've heard that is a communicative disease at 1 Twins Way and want to contain it.

I hope not. He still has a 0.40 BB/K in the month of May in AAA. The kid needs a solid 300-400 PA in AAA and prove that he can control the strike zone.
