They have several top 100 prospects every year, and develop these 11th round picks into MLB caliber talents. We all wished Falvey was the guy who could do that here. I don’t think Zoll is that guy either. Parfigliano, Danchat, Mike Sixel and 4 others 7

None of the 11 they took ahead of him currently own positive WAR in the majors. The last guy (their 11th round pick, 3 picks in front of Wrobleski) they took a guy they failed to sign. It’s not just payroll that makes the Dodgers much, much better than the Twins in recent years. But we got Fedko in the 12th so let's call it even USAFChief and jkcarew 2

It’s not just payroll that makes the Dodgers much, much better than the Twins in recent years. It's not just that either. It's the International pool money we traded away for Banda. It's nothing against Banda, but those are the players you can sign for $50K and potentially hit a home run. Andrew Friedman going to the Dodgers has been like a cheat code. His experience in the Rays organization spotting talent out of necessity just enhances their ability to stay on top now that Friedman has the funds to fill the gaps when needed. It also helps because they don't give their rookies a lot of time to figure it out. See Outman and Lux. They looked good for a while. Once they didn't, they were shipped off. It’s not just payroll that makes the Dodgers much, much better than the Twins in recent years. And the guy they drafted before *that*, Ernie Yake, was a college player with apparently so little potential that they jerked him around at every level in the minors (short stints at AAA where he actually seemed to hit ok) rather than invest development resources. And yet... there's Kyler Fedko, David Festa, Pierson Ohl in the 12th/13th/14th round I don't get it. Meanwhile the Dodgers had a hit and miss 2021 draft, with their #1 and #2 picks far from paying dividends as yet.
