Alright, so the Twins lost to a terrible pitcher yesterday. Now they get to face a good pitcher. Nice game from Zebby, though.

No hit by Lauer for 6 innings. Maybe the offense was delayed in AZ? Wrobleski and Ohtani upcoming so it’s not going to get any easier.

Zebby going 6 innings 2 runs against that LAD lineup was very impressive.

Any MLB pitcher who manages to hit their spots as often as Eric Lauer did last night becomes a Cy Young guy for a game. A tip of the hat to Lauer for pushing his pitches all over the outer edges of the zone and leaving virtually nothing for the wood to eat. 

If the Twins can get the pitchers to give them some pitches tonight, I like our chances. Conversely, the Dodgers are a patient club at the dish, so the Twins arms need to throw strikes, get ahead in the count and keep the ball off the barrel.

Twins even up the series.

Rojas came up because Abel had a set back. Rojas did not get stretched out in his one game rehab. Now he will be rehabbing in the majors. The Dodgers are a difficult team in any circumstance but it is hard to imagine this start being successful.

I imagine that’s why Austin Voth got the call up from St Paul… To soak up some innings in case if the game goes sideways today.

Twins are calling up Austin Voth and optioning Laweryson. Voth has major league starting experience and has been starting at St. Paul. My guess is he’ll be the bulk guy behind Rojas tonight.

The Voth move makes more sense now. In a vacuum, it would be a head scratcher to call him up and send Lawyerson down. But, yeah, might be need a 'bulk' arm coming out of the bullpen.

Wrobleski has been getting lucky this year, all his underlying numbers suggest he's supposed to be doing much worse than he actually is, eventually a team has to expose him and hopefully these guys do.
