I'm going to defend Luke here. That was a pretty hot smash that, if he could have been able to make the out, would have been considered a good play.  I've seen a lot of those balls go through and Luke at least got a glove on it.  Maybe it would have turned out differently had he reacted a little quicker, but it wasn't an egregious play.

Yes but it was 107 off the bat. It wasn’t easy but you can’t absolutely whiff on it.

It was which is why Brooks needs to take 1-2 steps to get the ball instead of waiting. Luke has a slow release and threw a lollipop to first
