Happy Opening Day everyone! Thanks to @C-Gangster for posting the colorful Opening Day roster, although I take issue with calling either Martin or Clemens utility players--Austin is an outfielder and Kody is an infielder.

We should have lineups pretty soon, I would expect. Tuesday's slate should be pretty close to what is out there for the first game.

I did not expect Caratini to be playing 1B right away, but I guess it's for the lefty matchup.

It's logical when taking into account how terrible he has been this spring.

I've thought this for a while--this club is pretty well equipped to handle left handed pitching. It may not pan out that way, but they have two switch hitters who hit lefties better last year and four nominal regulars who hit right handed. Add Martin, Bell and Wallner, who actually had a better OPS against lefties last year and that is a decent lineup.

Another year of Twins baseball is here. I'm excited to see everyone again and honestly hope for the best. Another thing I'm hoping for is to see some of our young talent get a chance to play in the Big Leagues this year.

What are your thoughts on today's lineup card?

Im pretty much missing the first 10 days this season as my wife booked us to cruise around the Caribbean starting Sunday.  Will be in Miami Saturday so might go check out the home of the Marlins to cross that stadium off list.

I like Martin leading off. Let's see if he can replicate that .374 OP he had the last two months of last season.
