The AL Central becomes so aggressively mediocre by August that the Twins, White Sox, and Guardians all try to intentionally lose games to avoid having to play in the postseason. The Twins accidentally win the division on a walk-off error when a rogue Target Field seagull steals the baseball. And then They sweep the Yankees in the Wild Card round because the simulation finally broke.
I’d get out more if the AL Central standings didn't make me want to curl up into a ball. The Twins are single-handedly ruining my birthday weekend. Thanks for the reality check though, I’m going to go eat some cake and completely forget about our record for the night! 🎂.
Forget Roster Resource profiles, this is the kind of high-value utility work that keeps a relationship above .500. Absolute boyfriend of the year material right there.
This is the exact level of hyper-specific roster dedication that makes this forum great. Most people collect MVPs, you collect 1.0 WAR legends. I love it.
That’s just 'Morneau-speak' for: That was an absolute, unmitigated disaster, but my Canadian politeness physically won't let me say it out loud on television.
Cooked, this rotation is. Begun, the Clone Wars have... which is great, because we desperately need to clone whoever is healthy -Master Yoda (Grand master of the Jedi Order)
If Alan Anderson blows a fastball right past Andy Allanson, you know Gordo is screaming: 'TOUCH 'EM ALL... wait, no, STRIKE 'EM ALL!' while Gladden just sits there trying to figure out which name he just said
I got a few questions:
1: Whats you're guys favorite 2023 twins postseason moment?
2: Whats the best article on td you guys have ever written.
3: If you guys were twins players what posistion would you guys play?
4: Who is you're favorite twins player of all time.
5: funnest twins team to watch.
6:Favorite twins player on today's roster?
You guys don't have to answer all of these. Thanks in advance if you guys do answer some. Cant wait to tune in. Appreciate all the work you guys put in.
Minnesota Twins: Royce Lewis recalled James outman DFA'ed Per Aaron Gleeman. Lewis slashed .303/.443/.900 in his short stint in St Paul. While outman struggled at the plate. Lewis has been open and is expected to play 1st and 2 base in the long term.
And as a little bonus If you read all nineteen of those articles out loud in front of a mirror, Joe Ryan actually appears in your living room to explain his spin rate.
I'm just relieved we finally traded Simeon Woods Richardson for actual human baseball players instead of just 'future considerations' and a bucket of sunflower seeds. Our bullpen is saved... hopefully
I have to respectfully disagree with how you are framing this. When a fan weaponizes suicide against a player who has openly struggled with depression, the situation goes far beyond a standard test of 'professionalism.' Expecting an athlete to remain corporate and professional under that level of psychological abuse is an unrealistic standard. Duran was completely justified in flipping the fan off in that moment. While his completely separate mistake with a slur in 2024 was wrong and had consequences, bringing up his 'professionalism' in this specific context inadvertently shifts the focus away from a vile fan attack. Victim and victimizer aren't mutually exclusive; we can defend him here while still holding everyone to a high standard.
