  1. He has really improved his fielding this year. Plus arm plus range. He cut down on a lot of bad errors from previous years. Very strong arm
  2. He should be the starting SS till the end of the year unless he bats under .100 after 3 weeks.
  3. Also, Cody Lawyerson cleared waivers and re-signed with the Twins on a minor league deal.
  4. Joe Ryan officially to the IL. Zebby Mathews called back up. Waiting to hear the move for KC; it should come soon.
  5. In the 19 games since the All-Star break, the Twins have scored 23 runs (1.21 per game) against opponents' SPs. It's not going to get easier against 2 of the best SP staffs in baseball (Mil, Phi). Maybe something will change, but it would be nice to see the Twins score early, chase some of these starters, and make it a long series for their relievers. Here's to hoping........
  6. Jenkins for Martin and Roden plays like once a week, maybe a PH here and there. If they kept Martin for Roden, that would be fine too, but I think they would want another lefty off the bench depending on who's playing at the time.
  7. I like Austin Martin, but he could be on his way out. He's been lost at the plate so far this month. has a mid .600 OPS and hasn't stolen a base since July 17th. I think Jenkins would be an immediate upgrade in all areas. Fielding, stolen bases, on base, and slugging. Mix in Laranch, Keaschall, and Jenkins in the OF with Roden as the 4th OF. I'm worried Buxton might not be back this season, so there could be more innings for Keaschall and Jenkins in CF.
  8. I think there will be somewhat of a season, but a shortened season IMO. The salary cap is a huge issue going into the new CBA deal, and from what I heard, the players and owners couldn't be farther apart on their stances. I think the hard cap and salary floor is the best way to do it. The players think it suppresses player earnings and restricts open market flexibility. The players have big egos and want what they want; that's why I'm a little nervous the game will be lost in some context.
  9. The one issue I have with KC being called up is that, next year, when there is a lockout, depending on how long it is, he will be ineligible to play in the minors due to his 40-man status. Hopefully it won't affect him, but it's still very exciting. Congrats to him.
  10. He's still listed on the 7-day, but that could be an option to put him on the 60-day and free up a 40-man spot for KC.
  11. Step in the right direction. Even when the Twins are playing badly, this should give the fan base a little jolt of excitement. Hopefully, he can give the Twins a little bit more range at SS. Carry that hot bat into Milwaukee tonight. Let's go, Twins
  12. I am 100% on board with these moves, but I would want to bring Sabato up for Bell. I mean, you know how well Sabato has been at the plate; he's also shown some great defense over at first. Here's the main issue. KC and Jenkins aren't on the 40-man and neither is Sabato. The Twins, for some reason, always have issues with adding guys to the 40-man; especially if it's just to DFA someone, injuries might be different. So I'm thinking an injury to a player is more likely a way for them to be called up. it"s not fair, and very unfortunate.
  13. I don't think it's a huge upgrade, but it's definitely a position of need. Nance throws a slider, sinker, and has a really good curveball that has strikeout potential. Hes one of the best pitchers in the league when talking about chase %. He has a few years left of control, he might remind you of a right handed Taylor Roger's with a bit more swings and misses. Hope he won't continue the trend of being DFA in a week.
  14. Interesting to hear that Ryan Jeffers was in the clubhouse today and appears ready to go. Looks like the Twins will make another move tomorrow?
  15. Could see Rojas work out of the bullpen this weekend with the All-Star week coming.
  16. We will figure him out. Ober just needs to keep putting zeros up, and we will be fine.
  17. Is Jenkins in your plans for this year? Or more of a next year solution? Assuming there is a season.
  18. Looks like our hitters are going through the motions. Not much effort up there so far.
  19. Yes, he's with St Paul right now. I assume he will report today.
