He's definitely got some good ones, but my taste leans toward the '90s and earlier. I'd vote for Kristofferson off of "Me and Bobby McGee", "For the Good Times", "Help Me Make It Through the Night" and "Why Me", but I think "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" is one of the greatest songs ever written. Fantastic peak. But he's no John Prine. I'll raise you "Sam Stone," "All the best" and "Far from me." You know she still laughs with me, But she waits just a second too long. GCTF and IndianaTwin 2

cheeseheadgophfan Verified Member Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Hip discomfort? Are you ****ing me? I've been one of Buxton's biggest defenders, but this is getting ridiculous. I've heard football coaches complain about wide receivers who have "track legs" and are always pulling something and can't/won't play with aches and pains. At some point, you have to play with a little discomfort. SwainZag, Aggies7, Tlaker and 3 others 3 3

Most players would at least stay in the dugout, tell the trainer, have them take a look at it, and have them determine if he can stay in the game. Nope, not Byron. He simply said "I'm outta here!" John Prine slots in right behind Bob Dylan as the greatest songwriter of the last 50-75 years. "Hello in There" is the work of a genius. I also love the others mentioned and knew John McCutcheon as a young man in the 1970s. Big fan of Gordon Lightfoot and Kristofferson as well (he helped Prine get his start). USAFChief 1
