That'd be a really strange mashup.  But I'd be interested in hearing it.

Now Baldelli is asking himself where did this Hole in My Shoe come from.

Pagan is terrible. He has been smoke and mirrors. Jax should've gotten the 8th and Smith the 9th.

I dunno about Jax... there just aren't any good options outside of Duran or Smith in the bullpen.

Use your closer in the 6th inning and you deserve to lose

I think Rocco had the gameplan for Tuesday's double-header last year.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how Rocco uses the bullpen. He has one lights out option (Duran), one pretty good option (Smith), and a few mediocre options that are meh MR's in a good bullpen (Jax, Megill, Duffey, Pagan). The front office cannot sit on their hands until late July, or the division lead will be gone. Make Canterino a RP for the year, and trade for someone good, and then reevaluate on July 25th.

Of course, based on what I know about baseball, the Twins are probably going to go to Toronto and put up 25 runs with a bunch of players out and take 2 out of 3....

I hope anyway.

A lot of us were focusing on the 15 against DET and KC, going 8-7, which is far below what many of us hoped, and even worse than what I deemed "acceptable (9-6 or better), but going 12-9 against 4 teams that won't sniff the postseason is no better.

Now what am I supposed to do with all this chicken I bought for this week?

Freezer.

You can't win games when you don't score runs, or even get hits to try and do something on the bases.

Sad to say that kansas City and Detroit somehow had better pitching than our Twins. And our pitchers did pretty decently.

15 games - 8/7. 68 runs scored, 61 runs given up...against the lowly teams in your own division.

Closer is the most overrated position in the game.  Duran came in face the 1-6 hitters in the lineup and did his job.  Put the best arm to face the best hitters in tight games.

The issue again was 2 runs of offense.   It doesn't relieve Pagan from giving up a HR to one of the worst hitters in the roster, but score same damn runs.

They will be a .500 team in the next 10 days.

Correct.

This is a bad team, and I really don't know who could seriously argue otherwise.

It does matter. I’d rather blow a lead in the 6th with pagan than in the 8th. Anyone who’s watched most twins games knows that pagan is not a reliable last inning (or even 8th inning) guy.

Again, would you rather have three at bats to overcome a deficit or one (or none)?

So you'd rather see Duran hold a deficit against the bottom of the order rather than the actual lead against the top?

What's funny is they could get swept in Toronto and end up losing 6 straight by Sunday night and still be leading the division.

I agree on closer being overrated position
