The twins have two, TWO, wins against teams with winning records. Tampa, way back when

Suprising how teams are less likely to have winning records when you beat them...

Ok, so who forgot to make their sacrifice to the baseball gods?  This has gone on long enough.

Skubal gets the same exact inside edge pitch that Ober doesn't. Umpires. At least he got one right, looking right at it over the inside shoulder.

i was saying to my wife yesterday that june was going to be the real test for this team and now with injuries and such (the such being not playing byron enough and the other other being that he's not hitting the ball...) that we'll see them drop games in june and july and we'll see where they really stand. and here we go. and they're not even playing a plus .500 team in the tigers. june's gonna be a long month. (i'll be at target field at the end of the month so hopefully they have a good outing then...)

Twins are likely going to fall to 8-6 against 14 games against the Royals and Tigers, teams that have a winning percentage of just .350. Absolutely abysmal. Thankfully the White Sox have been no better, but the difference is they've been facing good teams and this was a chance for the Twins to extend the lead to 8, 9, or 10 games. Instead, it's going to be somewhere between 4 and 6 games while the Sox have the easiest SoS remaining, while the Twins have the 14th hardest.

I need to do some research! Maybe that is why Garver and Rortvedt were expendable….

There best be a reason somewhere!

Y'know, for the heck of it I was checking out what the sportsbooks had for odds to win the AL Central... it's the White Sox by a decent margin, even though they're below .500 now. Unless they didn't touch the spread since April, it means that the folks who are putting money on this don't think the Twins are as good as we think.

If Schoop hadn't played the Twins 9 times this year, he may have been DFA'd already

School must have his grudges against the Twins for letting him go.   He hates the Twins!  That’s for sure.

I guess the "Plan" is to let Ober get a certain number of pitches, regardless of what is happeing with the score. Gotta rest those other 13 pitchers on the roster.

78 pitches, 60 strikes. Good ratio. Just too bad so many were meatballs.

It's infuriating.

I'm fine with it personally. Sometimes it's okay to let a pitcher wear it, and this is one of those times. They're also likely to be without a reliever or two in Toronto.

Umpires love umpires. Well, not all of them, as I umpired for a spell, too.
