That's why you don't trade your closer the day before the season opener.

Well you can, if you have someone  to replace him, did anyone seriously believe Duffey is the guy?

Tins need to bench Corrrea, Polanco, Kiriloff, Sano and Kepler tomorrow.   Thanks a lot!

This one’s on Duffey

Rogers save last night was worth virtually no WAR

It's about "Value."

Two days.  That’s what it took to chase the opening day optimism from my grumpy heart.  [sigh]

Its good to get rid of that optimism early.

This team is awful. Living solely by the long ball. I hope baldelli doesn’t wait until May to start making changes with the coaching staff. I. KNOW it’s early and there was an abbreviate spring training, but this hitting has been putrid and needs fixing ASAP.

Sigh.

Losing yesterday's game felt "fine." Ray is a really good pitcher and the Mariners used their best bullpen arms. Today that wasn't the case. Gilbert is fine, but he's young and threw a ton of pitches in one inning. Gray was about as expected, and every other reliever sans Duffey was good. The Twins HAVE to find something besides hitting home runs.

Until tomorrow, fellas.

Most teams don't, including the Twins.

Feels like more of 2021... can't wait for Sano to start hitting in June, and Kepler looks like he did last year - a replacement level hitter. There is plenty of time for improvement... but if things continue like this we'd be better off getting Miranda and Larnach in the lineup over those two.

I really, really hope the Tyler Duffey experience is limited to a one time only event. He has no business pitching in the 9th of a one run game.

They didn't give up any runs. but I wouldn't say they were "fine."

all of them had no hit.  Come on!

This one’s in Duffey! You can’t get three outs at home for your first save, that’s a loser! Seattle has good pitching, they did this all last year, you have to take what they give you and they gave it to us.

They at least did their part yesterday. The Twins offense did not.
