wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I could use fewer of those innings...
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Wow 3-0 we r lucky, Start hitting giolitto boys,
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Hmmm. I would say that the odds are that we will score more than 3 runs....what are the odds that the Sox keep hitting the ball where we aren't?I live in Vegas and I’m not touching it
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Jake is sure giving an A+ effort today... (eyeroll)
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 At this point, Odorizzi has to be asking why he even bothered to wake up this morning. And it'd be justified since his defense doesn't appear to have.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 At this point, Odorizzi has to be asking why he even bothered to wake up this morning. In order to be successful in life, one must create and maintain healthy habits. For Jake, that probably includes waking up before noon.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Give the Sox credit, they are battling every at bat. Is Gardy their manager now?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 And it'd be justified since his defense doesn't appear to have.Yep. I wonder if the people criticizing Jake have bothered to look at the three ring circus happening around him.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 At this point, Odorizzi has to be asking why he even bothered to wake up this morning.Unable to watch. Has anything been hit hard outside of Garcia's AB in the 3rd? Seems to me a few ill-timed errors and dying quails/22 hoppers that are well placed are doing him in. Not so much poor pitching.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Escobar 100 r bi,s we didnt need him, good for him , i still watch him now when i can,,
Blake Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Are you suggesting that I'm short and wide? You're not really wrong...Reader poll for smart-aleck comeback: 1: If you're laying down, then, sure. 2: No, I meant ornate and useful. 3: No, I was thinking more along the lines of classic craftsmanship of the art deco era.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Wow Castro has zero chance in that AB
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Wow cave had zero chance in that at bat
TheRealCupOfJoe Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 The Chisox have not had any well-struck balls. Sloppy D and seeing-eye singles have made for a rough outing for Odo.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Almost every at-bat has been piss poor. Giolitto is good, but he's not great. Got a really nice changeup, but his fastball is straight and slider is average. Boys are going up there guessing trying to crush home runs. Need to start thinking singles and doubles. Go to the opposite field and stop trying to pull every f'in ball.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Anderson's third inning single and the opening single in the 1st were solid hits. Everything else just bad luck and/or poor defense.

Everything else just bad luck and/or poor defense."Never attribute to bad luck what one can attribute to sloppy defense."* *I may have paraphrased that just a bit.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Must be nice having an actual ace on your pitching staff.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Twins better do better at getting his pitch count up ,, Kids a good pitcher, The way he has developed think he could easily be our # 1 ?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Yep. I wonder if the people criticizing Jake have bothered to look at the three ring circus happening around him.well Jake is part of this team, so it’s fair to include him in the criticism
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Here's the thing with the White Sox; they have exactly 3 good relievers, and then a bunch of terrible ones. If we're still trailing after 6, the White Sox will use their good guys, whereas if we're up, they'll use their bad guys. It explains why we lost Monday, but crushed yesterday.

Go to the opposite field and stop trying to pull every f'in ball.I was going to ask about that. Tracking the game on gamecast, he seems to be slinging a lot of 4-seamers over the plate. I was going to ask if he had some magic sauce in his glove making those pitches harder to hit than it looks.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Wow Castro has zero chance in that ABGarver loves fastballs, i would only start Castro when the other pitcher cant throw over 92, Castros limit
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 We were down 3-0 yesterday Quick get the squirrel warmed up in the 'pen.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 well Jake is part of this team, so it’s fair to include him in the criticismExcept he’s mostly doing his job while the fielders re-enact the Benny Hill intro around him. Odorizzi is limiting hard contact and missing bats. As a pitcher, that’s almost all he can do.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Twins should approach the rest of the season as, break even at hone and win on the road, which is what they’ve been doing for a while now. If they continue they’ll be fine
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Jake hits the #9 hitter, who is OPS'ing .606, with the next three batters up already 5 for 6 on the day. What could go wrong?
