Twins should approach the rest of the season as, break even at home and win on the road, which is what they’ve been doing for a while now. If they continue they’ll be fine

I was going to ask about that. Tracking the game on gamecast, he seems to be slinging a lot of 4-seamers over the plate. I was going to ask if he had some magic sauce in his glove making those pitches harder to hit than it looks.

He's been throwing a lot of first pitch changeups. I think the Twins hitters are looking for the wrong pitch and thus falling behind in counts.

I hope they begin to make adjustments second time through the order.

Except he’s mostly doing his job while the fielders re-enact the Benny Hill intro around him. Odorizzi is limiting hard contact and missing bats. As a pitcher, that’s almost all he can do.

pitching to contact has risks too, cheap hits are part of the game and sometimes they pile up

It's not like they are clobbering the ball, they are just dinking and dunking it where we aren't.  Sometimes lucky beats good.

There is an error on the board at Target Field.

And we'd gone a season-high 14 straight innings without an error. (Note: "14 innings." Fact. "Season high." Not a fact.)

Odorizzi has struck out four guys in less than four innings. I’m not sure what you expect from the guy.

just to hang in that’s all

A steely glare and the batter hollering, "I want no part of him" as the batter heads back to the dugout?

relax, I didn’t criticize him, I just said he is part of this team

Dan Gladden is an idiot.

"The White Sox average exit velocity today is 82 MPH, but they have 7 hits!  Makes you wonder, is exit velocity really that important".

To his credit, Cory Provus immediately and unequivocally corrected him.

Well put.

Not much hustle from Rosario going down the line there. Gotta say, Rosario has been kinda disappointing lately. Sure his average is good, but sometimes his attitude and demeanor just seems bad. I hope Larnach will provide the Twins with more plate discipline and a reason for them to put him in the lineup next year.

Speculation on your part.  It's possible that a Twins loss is the straw that breaks the camel's back, vis a vis global immolation.  I think just to play it safe, the White Sox should let the Twins win.

At the least, swing away on 3-and-0.

The ol'e "Black Hole" trio of Schoop, Castro and Cave...not sure why Rocco thinks that grouping our worst hitters together in a bunch - in a crucial rubber game match - is necessary.

This is a classic forfeit-style lineup. Rocco is playing for the sweep of Detroit, apparently. Might work, but sure does seem like a gamble.
