HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Not much hustle from Rosario going down the line there. Gotta say, Rosario has been kinda disappointing lately. Sure his average is good, but sometimes his attitude and demeanor just seems bad. I hope Larnach will provide the Twins with more plate discipline and a reason for them to put him in the lineup next year. 100% in favor of trading him this off-season for pitching help
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 He’s not big on hustlingEddie better be carefull, Alot of people think his aloofness or ?? is one of the reasons they havent extended him , its all on you Eddie
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Sano starting to look like the old Sano again...His OPS over the past seven days is 1.073.
Darius Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Not a good look losing 2 of 3 to White Sox at home. Especially with all of the issues coming into question lately. Here’s to hoping to offense comes through and we don’t have to cross that bridge.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Maybe don’t give Abreu good pitches to hit?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 The twins have played 8 series at home since July 1. They’ve won 2, split 1 and (if they don’t come back here) lost 5
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 His OPS over the past seven days is 1.073.In fairness, he didn't mention WHICH old Sano.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I fully expect Syndergaard to be as sharp tonight as Giolito has been this afternoon. Please.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 The ol'e "Black Hole" trio of Schoop, Castro and Cave...not sure why Rocco thinks that grouping our worst hitters together in a bunch - in a crucial rubber game match - is necessary. This is a classic forfeit-style lineup. Rocco is playing for the sweep of Detroit, apparently. Might work, but sure does seem like a gamble. Will never understand giving guys a day off with an off day tomorrow.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I fully expect Syndergaard to be as sharp tonight as Giolito has been this afternoon. Please. I think it's Stroman tonight, but give me the Mets in a Stroman vs. Plutko matchup anytime.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 His OPS over the past seven days is 1.073.I guess I didn't mean the awful version. Just his normal version. Multiple k's each game, starting to chase slider again...
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I think it's Stroman tonight, but give me the Mets in a Stroman vs. Plutko matchup anytime. I stand corrected, Stroman tonight, Syndergaard tomorrow.
Darius Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 His OPS over the past seven days is 1.073.People just hate Sano, man. No matter what he does. I believe people were pointing to Jake Cave’s OPS at his age in the game thread last night as reason he should be platooned with Buxton/Rosario in the outfield (as opposed to not playing at all). It’s .300 points lower than the number you’re referencing.....and Sano is actually younger. Perception is everything. These stellar numbers from Miguel Sano just aren’t good enough....unless youre anyone but Miguel Sano.

Head to head right now the Indians are clearly better than the Twins and those 6 remaining games are pretty likely what is going to decide the division. The only “good” news is that it appears Corey Kluber will be a non-factor. He’s expected out until at least mid September after straining an oblique during rehab.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 He’s not big on hustling Eddie doesn't run out ground balls, that's for sure. He's super animated when he gets a big hit, or when the team is racking up runs...but when things don't go his way, you can tell he's just disinterested. I don't care for that. Buxton, for example, runs out every pop-up and ground ball and I think every fan prefers that type of reaction. That said, I'm not "done" with Eddie, as others have said. He's a big part of this team and comes up with big hits and helps the team win games.

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Can't give runs away like that.
Darius Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 A lot of people get frustrated with Gibson for it, but Odorizzi’s inability to pitch deep into games is really hurting this team.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I can’t remember a single season with so many runs allowed and bases allowed on wild pitches and passed balls. I wonder when the sloppiness is going to stop? We’ll get steamrolled in October playing s*** baseball like this. I’m tired of it already
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 There you go, Jake. Just give 'em a free one while you're at it.

These stellar numbers from Miguel Sano just aren’t good enough....unless youre anyone but Miguel Sano.Honestly, this is the worst part of Twinsdaily. No one said they hated Sano. Nobody. He chased 2 straight sliders out of the zone. He's gotta multiple k's the last 3 games and k'd to end the game on 2 sliders out of the zone where a take at 2-0 probably would have resulted in an intentional walk. As I stated, I was just referring to the fact that his ABs the last several games haven't been as crisp as when he was otherworldly with his command of the zone and refusal to chase. The "old Sano" isn't bad. Just not as good as when he was white hot. Sheesh.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Twins seem to have packed it in. Looks like a 6-1 final score, with the Twins lone run in the 9th coming on a Schoop long ball off a backend bullpen guy.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 It would be nice to have some momentum going at Target Field. In danger of losing the 3rd straight series at home
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Alright, time for that damn squirrel to make another appearance.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 A lot of people get frustrated with Gibson for it, but Odorizzi’s inability to pitch deep into games is really hurting this team.. Been saying it for months. Can’t ask 4 innings almost every night with our mess of a pen
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Way to give your team a chance to win there, Jake. Go hit the showers. Thankfully, we won't have to see you until next Wednesday.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Enough about the squirrel FFS already
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 Pretty uninspiring bottom of the 5th.
