  1. His plate discipline is astounding. I love to watch this kid. His stature is very Puckett-like. Don't discount power potential. Kirby hit 4 HR at age 25 in 691 AB's. The following year, he hit 31 dingers. His defense hasn't been terrible - I'd take it over Polanco's any day. It'll improve with time.
  2. The Twins' home run record won't be standing for long. Yankees only 5 behind. 2 less games for them, but they play 6 games against the Tigers and Jays over the next 6 games, while we're playing the Nationals and Indians. And many of our thumpers are hurt. This time next week they'll likely be trailing the Bronx Bombers...
  3. The Chisox have not had any well-struck balls. Sloppy D and seeing-eye singles have made for a rough outing for Odo.
  4. Odorizzi has not pitched terrible. A lot of lucky hits.
  5. Morneau sure has come out of his shell since his first few broadcasts. His soft-spoken demeanor is starting to transition into a more classic sports color man. Clearly he's more confident in his voice. He's good.
  6. Polanco can look spectacular, and he can look terrible.
  7. On June 13, 2017. Puig made an obscene gesture at Indians fans at Progressive Field after hitting a home run. The next day, he was suspended for a game, but he appealed the suspension and it was rescinded. I'm sure he'll be popular in Cleveland.
  8. I think this was the first time I've seen Arraez wiff twice in a game.
  9. That strike 3 to Arraez was 6 inches outside the strike zone. Should've taken.
  10. I’m back in. I’ll be your punching bag. I can take it.
  11. According to the Boston Globe, David Price was removed from the game after 5 stellar innings and only 73 pitches, for "non-injury-related reasons". WTF? Does anyone have a clue why they would have pulled him? I was glad they did, but wow.
  12. That Buck HR almost hit the cat walk. Bert would've burned the building down.
  13. Luke Raley must really crowd the plate! He was HBP 24 times last year. If he got plunked that many times in the Bigs, he'd be in the top 50 all time HBP in a season. Brandon Nimmo of the Mets had 22 last year, leading the league.
