    His plate discipline is astounding. I love to watch this kid. His stature is very Puckett-like. Don't discount power potential. Kirby hit 4 HR at age 25 in 691 AB's. The following year, he hit 31 dingers. His defense hasn't been terrible - I'd take it over Polanco's any day. It'll improve with time.

    According to the Boston Globe, David Price was removed from the game after 5 stellar innings and only 73 pitches, for "non-injury-related reasons". WTF? Does anyone have a clue why they would have pulled him? I was glad they did, but wow.

    Luke Raley must really crowd the plate! He was HBP 24 times last year. If he got plunked that many times in the Bigs, he'd be in the top 50 all time HBP in a season. Brandon Nimmo of the Mets had 22 last year, leading the league.
