Dear Twins Daily,

 

I think some time ago i promised my next game thread would be a resignation letter.

 

Now i have always been some confused between resigning and re-signing. Especially those reports about players resigning for millions of dollars. And you all know me well enough to know i was counting on that when i said it, so by now you should be resigned to the fact that i meant the other one.

 

Well. It turns out TD didn't just give me a raise... TD gave me the Rays. As my next game thread assignment. Namely this game.

Whatcha think of that? Oh... Sorry. Things to think about is the next section.

 

Slow work days. Only the Ump can call a Strike at TD, so one has to be creative...

 

Experiment controls. This is one of the control game threads where nothing exciting is said that might jinx or otherwise influence the game just so we know for sure it was us when exciting things were said and happened.

 

Defaults. How things are set up before you are allowed to change them. This is also a default game thread.

 

Boring. You need sharp bits to bore into some materials. And if you are dull, you can create a lot of useless heat and not make the hole any deeper. This is wasted energy. So i advise everyone to cut to the chase, like in a good western.

 

Coming up short. Not wanting to break the ban of math in game threads, i don't know if i supplied enough for you to think of. But seeing as the human imagination is the most powerful force known, or even imagined by well, um humans, you got to ask yourself... "Do i feel lucky?" And let me tell you, this isn't a rigged game. I am lucky. Stands to reason you are. I hope you feel that way too.

 

So now that you've thought about those things to think about, i now have resigned... to write 4 more game threads this month. I think i used up all my good ideas on this one, so who knows.

 

Thank you Twins Daily for giving me a chance to express my somewhat lacking creative side. I will always have fond memories. Maybe i'll share some of them in a future Thread?

ps. This is dedicated to a handful of friends who have quit their jobs recently and will find new and better ones soon enough, i am sure.

A beautiful day in Minnesota, to listen to the radio broadcast, of another Twins win!!! Bringing back my childhood memories, of vacations up North with my family! Go Twins!!!

I got some o'them childhood vacation memories, camping up on the north shore over 4th of July. Only place in the state that wasn't upper 90s. And we got some thunderstorms at night aka our own naturally occuring fireworks display. All this pointed out zealously to my brother who had decided to stay home...

After Meadows and Lowe, that's a pretty bad lineup, but then again, the Rays usually don't need to score many to win.  I guess Pham and Garcia going down was the booby prize for getting blown out Thursday.

Just tuned in - from what I've seen so far, this pitcher Chirinos has some serious stuff. None of his pitches move in a straight line?

Luckily a new outdoor stadium is in the works and they'll actually be playing in Tampa. And Polanco comes through again to get us back in the game! So glad we locked him up.

The Ybor City deal fell through so it looks like they are back almost at square one..
