And now for something I never thought I'd say: Odorizzi on the mound tomorrow means the Twins have a chance to take the series.

And it seems a boring ordinary non-descript game thread intro does not seem to affect the end result of the game.

Blanks get the job done too.

Boring? Sir, you may be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them.

But... i tried.

You mean that was not an adequate control thread?

Oh well.

Back to the drawing bored...

That's a fair criticism... it's also a much more reasonable taken than say trading him. He's hit in the majors before. He's always going to be a K guy... I think to that extent he should probably get more time, especially since the last few weeks have been his spring training.

This is what I don't get. Getting the K rate down is a reasonable request, but he's always going to be a high k guy? But we're not allowed to suggest trading him? He's probably never re-signing. So we're either trading him or letting him walk eventually. We've got Margo, Cruz, and Crohn for another year if we want. AK coming up.

Sano could draw interest from contending teams and some rebuilding teams at this point. He's one of a number of guys we'll need to make a decision on soon. A trade while he's still valuable and not just a rental makes some sense in this day and age.

I've been gone, winning money in a shooting competition.

What'd I miss?

Apparently not many, considering you won.

And maybe a change of scenery helps Sano's career.

You can mention it, but I don't think he'd garner much of anything. And with our offense doing what it's doing anyway, it just doesn't hurt to let him try and figure it out for now. That said, yes, my patience is running out, too. The All-Star break is still a month away ... so there is time there. And then we'll see.

I have been highly critical of Gibson for a few years now. And although I still don’t feel he has earned the #2 spot in the rotation he does deserve credit for what he has done this season especially. Today he cleaned up his own mess, twice and that showed me something. Although he only threw five innings, they were five productive innings and he got a well deserved win for that. Today’s game was an important win for the Twins and Gibson was up to the task. Well done Kyle! Good game.

That could certainly be. Of course, you only need 1 GM to fall in love. He's been an all star. He came with all the hype. Big name. Still young. I'd there's no interest, then of course I keep him.

But if there's still interest and still belief he could be what someone else needs, why wouldn't we work to harness that? As I said, I get the frustration and the patience is definitely thin, but I think we need to be careful about trading him. I'd want something great in return, and I don't see anyone giving up something great for him at this time.

He's always going to be a high K guy b/c he takes a home run swing every time he swings. He definitely needs to be swinging less. I'm not arguing that. Watching his at bats yesterday though and I'm not seeing the guy striking out in 3 pitches. He's taking a lot of pitches that he should take. I'm not quite sure that the timing is back and what not, but with the best lineup in baseball, I think letting him figure it out is smart. Trading him for a bag of peanuts is most definitely not. I don't think you'll find that one GM that falls in love with him. Those GMs got canned long ago.

The other problem is that we have no replacement for him. I don't think running with Astrudillo and Marwin at 3B is a good idea at all. You do that when someone gets hurt. You don't plan on that.
