Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Red Sox announcer thinks that Bradley might have trapped the ball against the wallMy view of the replay showed glove between the ball and the wall.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 If it annoys the others, they don’t take your allegedly non-annoyed tone. We’re all fans here, fella.I'm doing it for them, and yes we're all fans, never said otherwise.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 please , what does he have 80 AB’s , watch as all numbers those level out to crap He has a career .819 OPS, which this year would put him at 69th in all of baseball. In other words, the 3rd best hitter on a team. If that's crap, you have an insanely unrealistic expectation of Sano.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 c,MON Twins, looking rough last few games with alot of Blunders, And to many k,s
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 From 2016-2019, with RISP sano is 76-320 (.237 BA), with 125 k’s, 113 RBI and an OPS around .720
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Lately I'm starting to feel more confident about May in high leverage late inning situations.
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Every good team throughout the years has had at least a 3 game losing streak. Might as well get it out of the way nowY'know, I have been saying that it's most important to get on a hot streak late in the year so a team can use momentum to carry them into the postseason... and the April-May winning flurry was never going to last. Ideally they'd play .500 ball for the next month or two and kick it up a gear in August/September.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 As this series plays out, I think at the very least it will give the Twins brass a dose of reality. We won't be playing the Tigers, Royals, and White Sox in October. The Twins have to be a better team than they are now... The crazy thing is that it's the offense that looks exposed. Let's hope that changes here in the next 2 innings. I hope Garver can shake off that awful gut punch of a mistake right about now.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 May had a good inning there. Good to see from this beleaguered bullpen.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Every good team throughout the years has had at least a 3 game losing streak. Might as well get it out of the way now Yup. Boston's a better team than their record thanks to their slow start, so it's not like we're flailing against a bad team. And if the Twins are going to go through a bad stretch maybe it's better that it happens now, before the ASB, when it might prod the front office into making a couple of moves to shore up some weaknesses.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Not much game left here, boys. Let's get some runs on the board!

Been playing awfully flat, and it’s been going on longer than the past three games

Blake Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 My view of the replay showed glove between the ball and the wall.It was a great catch, darn it.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 *groan* Let me know how Sano does in five years. Or ten. Or after he has a career-changing concussion. Or if he ever starts catching.Except people are saying Sano can't hit, and not as well as Mauer.....I mean, he's no Hall of famer, but to say he can't hit, or isn't clutch, ignores the actual outcomes Sano has produced.
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Another Strat-O-Matic update: The Twins are currently losing 8-7 in the bottom of the 7th. Jake Cave is a single short of the cycle, and Mike Morin just blew a one run lead in the top of the 7th.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Wait..wut? They're only playing 7.5 tonight?Yep, they're heading home for some early evening relaxation.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Think Garver will run here,?? lol

70charger Verified Member Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 It was a great catch, darn it. Does it matter if a player traps the ball on the wall? As long as it doesn't hit the ground? Serious question.
