blindeke Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 4 run lead, let's see if this mess of a bullpen can hold it.... Nostradamus...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 I long for those cool May nights when the team would go up 3 runs and I wouldn’t have to even finish watching the game
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Good grief can this 'pen look any worse right now? It's been a known weakness since Day 1 but the Twins have either been in denial or just hanging on. I'm guessing this team picks up at least 2 arms at the deadline for the bullpen. Gonna cost a haul of prospects but in a year like this, you absolutely have to do it.I'm not sure if they have to give up a haul of prospects. Making trades like the Brandon Kintzler move happened for a borderline low A prospect, and we got a non-prospect for Fernando Rodney last year. At this point we need several decent at worst pitchers and one headliner guy (Will Smith/Ken Giles).
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Magill would be a candidate to be cut loose next. He has not been able to get any hitters out lately.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 At what point do we start putting Morin in for situations like this? *Gulp*
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Guess we’ll have to hit 4 more homers to feel comfy
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Can Kepler pinch hit for everyone in the lineup?
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Good job May,, need more runs Pleez!!

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 That’s the May we’ve been waiting for.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Three weeks ago you could look at a bunch of good bullpen ERAs and say to yourself, they may not be great but they've been getting the job done. I don't think that can be said anymore and the ERAs are climbing at an alarming rate.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Keuchel to the Braves. Our time will come, harry, we just have to keep our eyes open
bighat Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Nice job May. Insurance runs, anyone? I think Schoop owes Berrios a solo HR at the very least.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Not even kidding about this. Get rid of everybody in the pen except Harper, May, Rodgers, and Duffey. Morin is fine. Magill should be cut. Parker should not be trusted in close games.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Duffey, Morin or Rogers in the 8th? I say Duffey.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Bauer still??? Christ. Must be nice.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 can kepler pitch?Only in a national League park, as we need his bat!!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Duffey, Morin or Rogers in the 8th?I say Duffey. Please god no
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Man....Schoop is really struggling.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 What good does trading out our marginal relievers for their marginal relievers do?Brandon Kintzler wasn't marginal in 2017 and had a very good year, and Rodney was at least OK. So get a Ken Giles, a Kintzler-esque guy who's having a good year but is going to hit FA so he'll come cheaper, and then look for guys that might have been August waiver guys but that's not a thing anymore but they'll be better than Magill/other journeyman AAA guys.

Get good players
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Oh, and you know who has a sub 3.00 ERA with a 0.815 WHIP with the Cubs right now? Yup... it's Brandon Kintzler.
