Polanco is starting to look like something is wrong with him, like dead arm or something.

Just a phase I think. Guys go through it in a 162 game season. I do hope we give him a day off tomorrow though.

Oh, hogwash ... the guy just got off a plane from the west coast, to a new team, knows no one, and gets put on the mound to pitch? Come on ... we didn't put Romo in last Sunday and many even said at the time that would not be a good idea. I'll give the guy a bit of leeway here.

The west coast? He flew from Philadelphia. A 2 hour 40 minute flight...

From what I'm reading here a 2 hour 40 minute flight is mentally and physically exhausting. Nearly impossible to do one's job under such demanding conditions...

Well it depends if you had to bring your kids along on the flight. If so, you’d be better off running a marathon.

Neither am I, but even looking at the relievers in the off-season, only a handful are doing anything good. I was hoping they'd snag Ottavino and Britton, but other than those guys, it was kinda bleak. Guys in the organization need to step up and throw quality strikes. Dyson had fine numbers with the Giants and the Twins gave up little to nothing to get him.

Yeah, I hear ya. But, these guys get paid a lot of money and have a lot of resources to find effective options. More than half the arms that started in the bullpen were either DFA'ed or sent down to Rochester. That's pretty bad. A lot of teams didn't sign Ottavino and Britton but probably had a higher success rate in filling out a bullpen than the Twins.

The only thing I'll say in their defense - just to be fair - when the season started and the offense was rolling, the bullpen didn't look 'that' bad so perhaps the thought was - these guys aren't too bad. But the offense was bound to slow down eventually and when high leverage situations emerged, the bullpen wasn't ready.

Do guys forget how to pitch effectively immediately when they get off of a plane? The guy is a veteran. I'm sure pitching 2,3 or even 4 games in a row is a lot more tiring than just getting off a plane where he was probably sitting first class.

Idk how musicians do it... Riding around in a bus, don't know what city they're in, and expect to give a good concert without a full day off from travel.

Or how business people meet other people after they flew in that day... Athletes are totally different though.

I commend Dyson for his strength and courage to play baseball the same day he traveled... Not a lot of people can do that evidently.

Marlins have some good pitchers. They just need to strengthen up that lineup

They have/had some good young starters but their bullpen is pretty bad. Especially without Romo and Anderson.

I still think it's a big ask ... just off the plane, okay, go pitch for your new team ... don't know the players or coaches, but go to it.

I mean, we're not talking about inserting the guy into game 7 of the World Series. The Marlins are a really bad team. And you were up three runs. And Curtis Granderson was leading off!

I'll tell you how we do it ... we arrive HOURS before rehearsals and concerts, do sound checks. We have practice areas in our hotels so we can warm up before even heading to the concert hall. We have coach buses ... several of them ... so we can spread out and relax. Our hotels are 5-star hotels with great amenities. We don't arrive and go straight from airport to concert hall. Ever.

I think it'll go to Dyson because those were all his runs

No, Rogers “blew” the save. That’s the way the stat works. Dyson actually will get credit for a hold.

That's.... Not cool.

Edit: Also, thanks for correcting me. Not sure why I thought that it went to Dyson
