Some are born, some are made, but y'all have foolishness thrust upon ye!

 

Today's foolishness is taking a look at the big picture instead of the immediate game. Who'd ever think we'd be here back at the start of the season? Rookie manager and all (and see how well he manages rookies!)

 

Did ya agree with the trades? Are well positioned for the remainder of the season? Some people might call it a stretch run, but i have find it difficult to stretch and run at the same time...

 

That said, we're finishing up a little series at Miami. We done pretty good this road trip, even with one designated hitter tied behind our back...

 

Wouldn't mind facing them again this year!

 

Lineups, weather, and worse jokes to come.

 

And remember, pacing one's self is a good idea...

Oh, today is April. Right.

 

I have been a bit slow with my A's.

 

But then i haven't had much to compare to since the Santana Trade, as the Twins haven't been too strong with their Ace either.

 

And i coulda done more with this. I coulda leaned away from the trunk and asked what it felt to be next door neighbors (and then explained that when was a proper Minnesotan resident, i lived next to Byers) or i coulda gone out on an absurdly fragile twig about how they had traded Buxton for an entire team, kinda like Tarkenton to Giants was described to me as a kid.

 

And i still could do those things, if the thread continues.

 

But yeah, it don't seem like this caught on.

 

Actually i like to think you all saw through my cunning ploy, that i'm not left handed, nor could i switch game threads while your back was turned.

Mod note: This is a game thread intro that was composed by SampleSize four months ago. Surprisingly (or maybe not), it still works. It is an east coast day game, so lineups should be available shortly. If someone would post them, it would be appreciated. I don't think the original poster could have guessed all the twists and turns in the four months, but we should all admit that the Twins have totally exceeded expectations.

But- been wondering for a long time now why he isn't in the 3-hole.

 

Especially with Arraez looking like a prototype leadoff man. except for that being fast thing...
