USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 I could have lived my entire life without knowing Gausman changed his number to 34.He also apparently likes pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Buck!!! He sure can hit the fastball. If he ever learns to hit the spinner, he is gonna be damn good.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Looks like Gausman will have an early exit today.

Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Here's an Easter story to while away the time. My mother, who grew up on the wrong sides of the tracks (fortunately she married my dad who grew up on the right side of the tracks so I grew up in the middle of town) told us she and her siblings always got real live chicks for Easter presents. Then after the kids named their chicks and played with them their dad (major *******) moved the chicks out to the shed when they started to feather out and butchered them when they were big enough to eat; being sure to tell the kids which "pet" it was they were eating. So when we were kids my mother would give us a box of chicks for Easter, we'd name them, play with them, but after a week or so we'd drive out to my uncle's farm and turn them in with the rest of his flock. Sort of a salvation thing. Anyway, many years later I was reminding my uncle of the annual pilgrimage to release our chickens and how he could always point out by name which full grown chickens were ours on subsequent trips. He laughed and told me never knew which ones were which as they all looked alike, so he'd just point at a chicken and say, "There's Flossie" or whatever. The thing was, whenever we went out to the farm for Sunday dinner, my uncle would take his .22, step out the back door and pick off three or four chickens for our meal, always telling us worried kids that he was careful not to shoot "our" chickens. The moral of the story; Know who you are and never run with the flock as you might catch a bullet.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Buxton goes oppo! Four zip in the first! Watch out throwing curves in cold weather. Tendency to squeeze the ball too much.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 The FSN scouting reports are a complete jokeNo, Chief's puns are a complete joke. FSN are just pikers by comparison.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Yeah some lefty in today's day and age of over shifts could end up hitting .400 if they can do that to those shifts. When Rod Carew hit .388 he only needed another 8 hits throughout the course of that season and he would have hit .400. now no one over shifted back then and no one would have over shifted Carew. But it's possible a more powerful guy could challenge the .400 barrier and see a lot of shifts?

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Here’s a little bit of trivia...whenever the first day of the month is on Sunday, we get a Friday the 13th later in the month. It being my understanding that there would be no math in this thread, I am at a loss to explain this magic.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Esco DRILLS a double. He did exactly what I can't do with a pitching wedge from that distance.
