Tim Beckham ( R) 3B8. Pedro Alvarez (L) DH9. Chance Sisco (L) C Today Easter falls on April Fool's day. I wonder how often that happens, and while i am curious, that's not what is important. Rather, how shall i celebrate this? For my sermon today, i shall make stuff up from the book of St. Nick: And Mary hurried back to the disciples to tell them that Jesus had risen. And the disciples were like yeah right, of course. That's the oldest April Fool's joke in the book. This is like the time you served us those "loaves and fishes"? Or what about that wine? Peter almost choked on a Firkin...And while they were heckling Mary, Jesus walked by in his bathrobe, and asked why they were up at 7am? It's the Sabbath, and the game doesn't start until noon. Let others sleep in as you yourself would like to be allowed to sleep in. Then all the disciples were greatly astonished, and quickly dove back under their covers, but not before swiping a bagel or two to nibble on. All rise for hymn 123, "The Pitcher shall cover first" And now we will pass the plate around... Encouraged contributions include: Baseball thoughts (it is round and has stitches)Twins thoughts (i mostly been distracted first two games... what all did i miss?)Favorite celebrations of Easter or Passover. (all about the Peeps)Favorite celebrations of April Fool's day.Songs that get stuck in your head aka. ear worms ( i woke up running over the tail of Pachelbel's canon) with bonus points if you think it would make a good walk up song. And here's to hoping the Twins collect at the plate as well as we do!

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Three things: 1 Nice job on the intro, SSOO. Thanks! 2 Speaking of which, there are still 4 April games in need of a volunteer. 3 If you haven’t yet checked out Matt Johnson’s Twins Almanac, do yourself a favor and try it. Incredible! http://twinsdaily.com/topic/29135-article-the-twins-almanac-for-april-1–7/

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Favorite celebrations of Easter or Passover. (all about the Peeps)The Easter Bunny always remembers to leave some Peeps in my basket. Strangely, the Bunny neglects to do this for Mrs Ash. I offer to share, but she is a generous soul and says "finders keepers". / edit - ninja'd, somewhat, by Carole

But I won this year with the most horrible use of Peeps ... maybe I'll post it later.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 That Bucket O' Peeps looks delicious, prepared just the way I like 'em, but if it was really from the Colonel it would be covered in mashed potatoes and gravy and cheese and lord knows what else....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Brilliant Open. I believe it was also Jesus who left me a VM to call Mr. Lyon at (phone number). The Phone Number belonged to the Zoo.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Ish!Incorrect ... the word you are looking for is 'Ick.' I-C-K, ick.
amjgt Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Buxton jumps Kepler. Interesting. Wonder why. Because of Garver the righty and not wanting three righties in a row?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Berrios and Gausman were both drafted in 2012. Today is kind of an interesting challenge match. Much prefer Berrios to Gausman now and going forward. Here’s a little bit of trivia...whenever the first day of the month is on Sunday, we get a Friday the 13th later in the month. Will try to check in from the game, en route now.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 What's on the menu today at your Easter festivities?
