Time to move Polanco out of the 3 hole, methinks.

I know some people are of the opinion that you should shuffle your lineup based on who's hot, who's not. I disagree. Invariably, the moves are made after a hot or cold spell has already been going on for several games. I'm of the school of thought that says you set a lineup and stick with it for the most part. Obviously, injuries and off days cause shuffling.

 

That said, with Miguel Sano playing (although he isn't likely to play 3b this year again), I think I like a lineup of

 

2b Dozier

1b Mauer

dh Sano

lf Rosario

ss Polanco

cf Buxton

rf Kepler

3b Escobar

c Castro

 

I like Polanco in the 5 spot. I think his contact ability plays well sandwiched between a bunch of guys that sometimes struggle with contact.

Pressly retires the side in order after being allowed to start the inning. Therefore I can only assume if he had started the 7th on Friday the same result would have taken place.

I don't think Sano bunts well enough to hit 3rd for Mollie. Surprised Polanco lasted this long . . . .

Win or lose, getting called away for a few hours and then reading this thread before waiting for Gameday to take its sweet time loading up is entertaining.

How about just walking Donaldson the rest of the game - he is hot and we can't get him out.

 

 

How about a high and inside pitch to get his pants dirty?

Just got done reading today's thread and PDX gets post of the day. Because I don't think he was referring to the dirt on the outside of Donaldson's pants.
