If the Red Sox win tonight, we are TIED for the first wild card spot.

We could be tied with the Yankees for the top WC spot at the end of the day.  As I looked ahead to Septembers schedule, it won't be easy to hold the WC spot.  17 on the road vs 12 at home and the opponents aren't the White Sox.  Hey, at least they are all meaningful games.  We need to get some guys healthy and productive again.

Granite yes, Polanco no way.  You knew Minaya had to throw a first pitch over the heart after that Mauer at bat and all you need is a non-popout/lineout and you were gonna win the game.  Minaya just made a hell of a glove save.
