Doubles Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 oh my. Not exactly what i had in mind as far as a 'signature win' goes, but we'll take it. Wow.
VirginSturgeon Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Who saw that ending coming, with a HBP?!
70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Well that's one way to walk it off.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Gutsy MF'ing win with a weakish lineup
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 The Twins are gonna win it!The Twins have won it! (A little less dramatic, but I'll take it.)

70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Twins lucky to stay out of DP on that ball back to the mound. I agree. That ball was not hit well at all.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 uhhhh................Kep you ok? Nevermind.............WE WON!!!
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Terrible AB: Granite and Polanco Polanco hit a rocket right up the middle that the pitcher just happened to catch. Can't get mad at that.
mazeville Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Stop gumming up the momentum of this game thread with Sano specPlease Fine. I'll shut up. On the Sano thing.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Found a way. Need all of em.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 If the Red Sox win tonight, we are TIED for the first wild card spot.
gocgo Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 We could be tied with the Yankees for the top WC spot at the end of the day. As I looked ahead to Septembers schedule, it won't be easy to hold the WC spot. 17 on the road vs 12 at home and the opponents aren't the White Sox. Hey, at least they are all meaningful games. We need to get some guys healthy and productive again.
Doubles Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Polanco hit a rocket right up the middle that the pitcher just happened to catch. Can't get mad at that. Not to split hairs here, but Polanco's was way more 'jam shot' than 'rocket.'
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Win by plunking. It doesn't matter how, just how many.
jun Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Now the White Sox closer looks more like Belisle. Similar ERA.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Terrible AB: Granite and Polanco Granite yes, Polanco no way. You knew Minaya had to throw a first pitch over the heart after that Mauer at bat and all you need is a non-popout/lineout and you were gonna win the game. Minaya just made a hell of a glove save.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Matt Belisle, winning pitcher. Oh baseball, sometimes you're so stupid.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Not to split hairs here, but Polanco's was way more 'jam shot' than 'rocket.' I didn't see it, was just going off of Cory and Danny's description. I know, I know, trust 'em at your own risk.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You can have your chicken. Sweep = donuts for the office. White Sox Sweep = Amish donuts! Which will it be?
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Observation: Kepler not the most dynamic interview. Not everyone can be Joe Mauer.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Some people say the most exciting play in baseball is the triple. Not me. It's the walk-off bases-loaded HBP.
