Doubles Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Terrible AB by Granite, whether you like the call to bunt or not. Bunting is the easiest thing to do in baseball.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You don't give up an out when you only have three to give. I hate the bunt attempt even if it were to "work"
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 We're obsessed with bunting, we just aren't very good at it.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Bunting is the easiest thing to do in baseball.really?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 So you don't think it's impeding his recovery at all? You think that weight has nothing to do with injury recovery? Is that what you're saying? Because he is progressing slowly from the injury, you know. And absent some other explanation, the only thing we have is that his weight has slowed his recovery. Yes that's what I'm saying. Sano isn't behind schedule on his recovery, what needs explaining?
Doubles Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Would be pretty cool if the Twins could squeak out a couple of runs here. Haven't had one of those 'signature' wins in a while.
VirginSturgeon Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Rosario and Mauer going to win the game here!
mazeville Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I know I defend Souhan at my own risk. Honestly, I'm not a big fan and really didn't like that column he wrote. But it bugs me that for some reason, people think Sano's weight is off limits. It shouldn't be, and weight/conditioning can be a factor in a player's health and abilities over the long term. And the Twins have every right to be concerned about it.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Woo! With the game on the line!
mazeville Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Yes that's what I'm saying. Sano isn't behind schedule on his recovery, what needs explaining? It's not yet behind schedule. It's progressing "slowly." http://www.twincities.com/2017/08/29/twins-miguel-sanos-recovery-from-shin-injury-moving-rather-slowly/
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Author Posted August 31, 2017 in play, run(s) please Concur. Wasn't that Twinsnorth' bit?
mazeville Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 How is Eddie Rosario not the team MVP right now?

And the Twins have every right to be concerned about it. Which literally nobody has said. You seem to be asserting that the weight is the only thing that matters. In my opinion, there are lots of explanations that are equally or more reasonable, going all the way back to diagnosis.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Stop gumming up the momentum of this game thread with Sano spec Please
70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 And I'm done with the Sano weight thing. There's a game on.
jun Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Rosario is a natural #3 hitter, Sano should be the cleanup guy to protect him.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Author Posted August 31, 2017 Pitcher made a pretty good play there...
Doubles Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Twins lucky to stay out of DP on that ball back to the mound.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Author Posted August 31, 2017 Now that's a pretty crazy ending... Hope Kep's alright!
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Holy Crap! Talk about taking one for the team!
mazeville Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Way to take one for the team, Kepler!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I would have bunt squeezed with Palonco there. <ducks>
