Game Thread: Red Sox @ Twins, 11:10AM PT (1:10PM CT)

[snepp]

May as well walk a couple in too while they're at it.

[twinssporto]

Tis but a scratch.

Just a flesh wound...

[jimbo92107]

I bet Grossman could pitch, and Eddie...

[Danchat]

This is so bad I'm having fun keeping track of it. The Red Sox are on their 15th batter of the inning.

[yarnivek1972]

This terrible bullpen is on the FO

No excuse why they couldn't have improved it AT ALL this off season.

They did make additions. Belisle, Breslow and Haley. Problem is they are terrible.

Just call me Nostradumass.

[GCTF]

At least it was kinda interesting when the Sawks were blasting the ball all over the place. Breslow is just making this boring now.

[Kwak]

I hope they aren't waiting for the O fer 5 guy to bat

[wavedog]

Good Grief throw a strike

[Riverbrian]

I just got back from a Bernie Sanders speech.  It appears that this was not a fun game to watch.

It was fun until the 9th... Kind of like a Bernie Sanders Speech

[crapforks]

I GUARANTEE Young doesn't get more than 4 RBI in this AB.

A walk was never going to drive in a run!!

All it was going to do was leave the GD job to someone else. Someone making $22.5m less than Mauer, thousands of PAs less than Mauer. Against Craig Kimbrell.

And that's exactly what happened. He stands there, takes strike three, and now its Keplers job, only Kepler needs a hit, not just a lazy fly ball.

Three pitches later, inning over.

If he never gets a pitch to hit...fine. He took strike two and strike three.

I'm ranting!,

I get you Chief, I F'ed up in posting that. My baseball will has depreciated and I am in no man's land.

[ashbury]

No chicken dinnah at the ashbury household tonight either. Flounder. But enough about the bullpen.

[twinssporto]

I hope somebody gets fired over this.

[GCTF]

I look forward to the impending Breslow AB.

[USAFChief]

While I'm at it...I am still waiting for an explanation as to how we had the first pick in the rule five draft, came away with the eighth pick AND NOTHING ELSE, and he can't break glass with his FB with a tailwind.

[jimbo92107]

Thank you, Max Kepler. Feels a bit like thanking Doctor Kevorkian after a fine assisted suicide...

Does this bill include the tip?

Bernie was on fire until the end -- pitched an almost perfect game.

I think they saved the Poland's some money.

Falvey and Levine are disproving an old pro sports axiom regarding poor performing teams. They always say "It's easier to fire the coach/manager than the players."

Falvey and Levine have essentially fired 3 players in the last 3 days. And I would expect to see more before the end of May.

Oops?

[glunn]

It appears from looking at gameday that the Twins were doing OK until Belisle came in.

[wavedog]

Looking on the positive side of things we get to face Pelfrey on Tuesday

Not just players but front office personnel. They should be nose deep in assessment with arms full of those that need to be disposed of this year.
