A walk was never going to drive in a run!!

All it was going to do was leave the GD job to someone else. Someone making $22.5m less than Mauer, thousands of PAs less than Mauer. Against Craig Kimbrell.

And that's exactly what happened. He stands there, takes strike three, and now its Keplers job, only Kepler needs a hit, not just a lazy fly ball.

Three pitches later, inning over.

If he never gets a pitch to hit...fine. He took strike two and strike three.

Falvey and Levine are disproving an old pro sports axiom regarding poor performing teams. They always say "It's easier to fire the coach/manager than the players."

 

Falvey and Levine have essentially fired 3 players in the last 3 days. And I would expect to see more before the end of May.

Falvey and Levine are disproving an old pro sports axiom regarding poor performing teams. They always say "It's easier to fire the coach/manager than the players."

Falvey and Levine have essentially fired 3 players in the last 3 days. And I would expect to see more before the end of May.

 

Not just players but front office personnel. They should be nose deep in assessment with arms full of those that need to be disposed of this year.
