jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Excellent at-bat by Polanco. How do you hold up with those 100 mph zingers?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 It appears from looking at gameday that the Twins were doing OK until Belisle came in. Actually Ok Until the ump made Chief mad at Mauer
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I just noticed a tell from Kelly on his fastball. He sets, then gives a big exhale, like he knows he's about to give it max effort.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 was pretty good too. I had time to watch it during the 9th innning.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 lol, at the Twins analysts saying Santana had bad command today. Ironic. Maybe there is no such thing as perfect command. Maybe a guy's command is simply what it is.

David HK Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Awright, WHO CRIED HAVOC? I want names.Oh, my goodness. I think what we got here is a new fart metaphor.... I'm gonna try it out the next time my nose crinkles in a car full of folks.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Oh, my goodness. I think what we got here is a new fart metaphor....I am only surprised that ChiTown didn't jump on it right away.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 It appears from looking at gameday that the Twins were doing OK until Belisle came in.If you listen carefully, you can hear the bitter chuckle from Michael Tonkin, seated in row 30 of the daily American shuttle to Rochester. / OK, you're in the wrong part of the country, so it might not be audible to you
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I have literally eaten 6 pieces of pizza since the 9th startedA good thing pizza wise...not for what happened...........................
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I just got back from a Bernie Sanders speech. It appears that this was not a fun game to watch.Wow, two bad things in a roll......................
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 This team has honestly been awesome this year... Most of these games where they've gone down early would have resulted in a lopsided loss... This year they're fighting and coming back and it's resulting in closer and exciting games lol good joke Boof Bonser

strumdatjaguar Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Bullpen ideas:Bring up:1. Gibson to pitch in the pen2. Mejia to pitch in the pen.3. Chargois, Burdi, maybe even Reed, Jay, Wheeler, Wimmers . . . Cut Haley, Breslow and Belisle. Pressly waiting to be next Put Giminez in the pen. .
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Level of competition. Not surprised at all.Yet this team still leads all of baseball in games giving up 10+ runs now (5 now). The bats have hidden the truth about the pen for a while now.

Blake Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 This is the sort of thing that happens when you do absolutely nothing during the offseason or spring training to improve your bullpen. I get the occasional blow up but this is a continuing trend. Hopefully the FO and the entire bullpen staff are embarrassed. I'm so glad they canned Tonkin. Can't wait to see the moves made tomorrow or tonight. On a positive note. We have the pieces in place on the offensive/defensive side to be a really good ball club.Yeah, I see that also. It wasn't that long ago the Twins only had pieces of what they currently have in the outfield and infield.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 I think it's time for a hidden ball trickThe Sox hid the ball in the stands several times.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 That was a strangely winnable game. I see Chief's point that Mauer was likely the best chance to score that run, and should have been swinging more than he did. It was ball four, though. Getting the go ahead run on base with one out would have been great. I don't think Mauer should have pinch hit for Buxton, and I don't think Belisle should have pitched the 9th.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 While I'm at it...I am still waiting for an explanation as to how we had the first pick in the rule five draft, came away with the eighth pick AND NOTHING ELSE, and he can't break glass with his FB with a tailwind. The FO are pitching geniuses. Relax. Or something like that.....
akmanak Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Berrios in the bullpen as a long reliever, Duffy stays, Gibson in the bullpen, trade for Harvey from the Mets and prospects for Dozier.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Berrios in the bullpen as a long reliever, Duffy stays, Gibson in the bullpen, trade for Harvey from the Mets and prospects for Dozier. Why are the Mets trading for Dozier, if htey are giving up a MLB pitcher? they are either trying to win this year, or not.
akmanak Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Harvey was just suspended for violating team rules. Neil Walker ia batting close to .200 and Harvey ERA this year is 5.14. Just a shot in the dark. Why are the Mets trading for Dozier, if htey are giving up a MLB pitcher? they are either trying to win this year, or not.

akmanak Verified Member Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 My point is, why are they trading for Dozier if they are giving up on this year?I didnt know the Mets have already given up on the season. Harvey value to the Mets has to be pretty low. I am not sure who they have to take his place so I cant speculate on that, but the trade might work out for all.

Who pitches instead of him, with Syndergaard hurt?
