Game Thread: Twins @ Astros, 5/4 @ 7:10pm CT

[jimmer]

Wow, just.... wow.  Phil, come on, jeepers.

Let's see, what was that 'stop digging' thing that keeps popping into my mind?

Hughes being Hughes.  One outlier year in the last 5 and TR hands out a fat contract.

[DiscGolfer]

Yay! an out

[Platoon]

I so want to say something snarky, but Chief has forbidden such talk!

[Riverbrian]

I've always been a big Dozier fan and supporter and even I never thought he was the best 2B in the game.   Not sure he's ever been the best 2B in the division.

Listen... I'm only right 85% of the time.

[Craig Arko]

I see this one is going south for the winter. There are margaritas that way, aren't there?

[Richie the Rally Goat]

She weighs the same as a duck?

a very skinny duck

[Aggies7]

The Astros, the second worst club in the AL, are about to go on a run and pull themselves out of the cellar. At least we contributed to something special this season.

[Mr. Brooks]

Well, good thing it's only May.

It's smart to get all these losses out of the way before the games count.

[jimmer]

Listen... I'm only right 85% of the time.

what about the other 55%? :-)

[DiscGolfer]

Still lots of game left, start picking away at this lead

[Platoon]

Dick is explaining why Meyer got jerked. Lol, I wonder if they hand out talking point memos, or does he make this up?

[notoriousgod71]

May 9 is Scrubs Night at Target Field!

I wish they were having a giveaway.

[DiscGolfer]

aaaand helmet off, it's a start

How much do you think the PR staff and sales team is grinding their teeth in regret about making that decision? I'm guessing this may be the last scrubs night in twins history.

We got the Nats, O's, and Sox off to a good start, too.   Three first-place teams there, something to be proud of!

Back in the game baby!

[DiscGolfer]

Nice, that's how you get back into a game.

[Danchat]

Good to see Danny Santana stealing some bases lately. It seems like he's the only one who knows how to consistently steal on this team.

[Hrbowski]

OH YEAH!!

[Mr. Brooks]

I see Molly's put that Plouffe-sized hole in the middle of the lineup between Sano and Park --again. And put the only guy besides Joe hitting over .300 in the 9-hole-- again. Way to go, Genius.

Plouffe is OPSing. 795 this year.

How is that a hole?

Dozier's on it.

[DiscGolfer]

Now get some runners on for Park and this game could be tied

The Angels and brewers are the only clubs we've beaten who have struggled.

Too bad Phil has been so bad. Could be in this, or ahead.

Since Hughes became a regular starter in 2010, his yearly ERA's are 4.19, 5.79, 4.19, 5.19, 3.52, 4.40, and so far this year, 5.85.

He's a #4 or #5 guy for his career, at best.

Trevor (Rodney Dangerfield) Plouffe.

[David HK]

Cripe, I see the Sox are DFAing Johnny Danks, too, just before they visit us.  Dang it, there was maybe our only chance at a victory...

[Riverbrian]

See Jimmer

Dozier is the best in the game.

[Hrbowski]

Mauer gets on base....

[Pardon My Dinger]

Hey, dudes! How's the game goi...woof, look at the time...take care of yourselves.
