Oh goody, here's JR Murphy with the bases loaded. Our .079 batter with the bases loaded...

not even the number 9 batter!  (though I have hope)

[nicksaviking]

Murphy was the same guy who hit a three run HR off Perkins to win a game last year, am I wrong?

[Aggies7]

Murphy is doing so poorly I'm concerned his only chance at being a hero playing baseball will be in the minors.

There is something so simple, yet beautiful about this post.

Unless he's facing an injured Glen Perkins, Murphy's offense is like Ben Revere, except without the contact or speed.

[howeda7]

And instead of a smile, he's permanently sucking on a lemon. My kind of guy.

[Rosterman]

So, will Hughes have some phantom injury?

Will we discover that Fiend is throwing some phantom ball?

You gotta pinch-hit for Murphy. Even a pitcher could do better in THAT situation, probably.

This IS HOUSTON! Why!?!

Fiers went 4.2 Innings and was replaced by Fields

Is it possible that AJ Hinch is managing alphabetically?

[Twinsbar107]

Starting to question if the 4 hour drive each way on the 21st and hotel is worth it to watch them.

[Aggies7]

Haha yeah, that was a crazy night!

[twinssporto]

What if Eduardo Escobar has to catch the 8th inning when we're behind 17-9? What will we do then? WHAT WILL WE DO?

That is awesome!  I literally was taking a sip of my adult beverage and spewed it on the computer.  Too funny!

[Champuckett]

Would it be unreasonable to hope, not expect, that Molitor pinch hit for Murphy in the 5th with bases loaded?

At this point I just want something to get excited about and Murphy coming to the plate evaporates all hope instantaneously.

[howeda7]

By August, Ned Yost will be drawing names out of a hat drunk against us for idle amusement.

Can we trade them Fien?

When was the last time we had a catcher who count hit? Oh yea............now I remember!

[Aggies7]

This mound meeting isn't to change the pitcher, Murphy just wanted to get a better view of what second base looks like.

[Winston Smith]

Terrible baseball game by two bad teams.

Terrible baseball game by two bad teams.

To be fair, Houston is hitting the stuffing out of the ball.

But you're right, this is like a class Low A game.

Half a season in 2014. Which prompted a new contract that was Ooooohhhhh so worth it.

About the last time we had an ace type pitching season from a starter, which prompted a new contract that was Ooooooohhhh so worth it. :-)

Another graceful route by our 3rd baseman ( I mean Right Fielder)

[Aggies7]

The skinny on graham, according to gladden:

"He gave up some long home runs. His era was high in AAA, a little over 10"

[DiscGolfer]

don't even know what to think about that

[Danchat]

Altuve for MVP!

Can we trade them Fien?

Maybe they'll give us Jimmy Wynn for a pile of Fiens and six sticks of gum. Of course, Jimmy Wynn is now 74.

[jimmer]

That routes like that are taken by mail delivery people not athletes?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Fifth inning and we're on our fourth pitcher.

In all seriousness, I hope O'Rourke doesn't get marked unfavorably for this appearance. We could develop a very good skill in him as a left handed specialist, instead of using him as a fifth inning garbage guy who is needed to eat up innings.

[Aggies7]

Sano needs to be at third. This is comical.

[jimmer]

A great arm means nothing if you can't control it.  Remember Gomez with us?
