USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Well, that got out of hand quickly. I mean that really escalated.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 You freaking kidding me? Kid is having a rough introduction to the mlb. Best offense in the league... might be the best since the yankees years ago.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Because we were so worried about Ben Revere's Extra Base power?Because the most likely effect was to make the game 6-3 instead of 7-3.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Quick question: did anyone here not see that one coming? Duffey?
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If Duffey was indeed more ready, what kind of line would Berrios have put up tonight?
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Quick question: did anyone here not see that one coming? Per usual, Cory and Kris did everything but throw black cats and broken mirrors at the Twins... "should Duffey intentionally walk Donaldson, since Bautista is only 1-9 this series?" "Bautista has been ominously quiet" Thanks jerks.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Well...First grand slam on ya, kid? It won't be the last one.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Don't forget guys, the Draft Gem was our best option to start today.......
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 So that ends the streak of positive posts I guess.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Looks like there might be some garbage time innings for Trevor May tonight.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Welcome to the big leagues son!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Duffey's second inning reminded me of the dance contest scene in "It's a Wonderful Life", including the result... http://i.ytimg.com/vi/2rha-6qG4OQ/maxresdefault.jpg

S. Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 So much for avoiding a bullpen day by starting Duffey instead of May.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 About the only thing not expected here is that we scored 3 runs.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 FIFYHaha let's not get crazy thinking May is stretched out enough to go more than 1 inning
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 If Duffey was indeed more ready, what kind of line would Berrios have put up tonight? Wouldn't made it out of the 1st I guess.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 well, the kid took a lead into his second major-league inning. so there's that ...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Quick question: did anyone here not see that one coming?I did'nt, but in my defense, it was travelling pretty GD fast.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Let that be a lesson to you young man. Something tells me that wasn't the plan Allen came up with. No, that's the plan the Twins came up with, sending Duffey out against this lineup. It was just a horrible idea and nobody wanted to make a stink with all the other stuff going on.
Kwak Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I had predicted an 11-7 game--so it isn't over YET!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Gray skies are gonna clear up... Put on a... AWW Screw it.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Personally, if this gets any more ugly, I'd be fine with May not getting into tonight's game, and for sure not going more than an inning. Save him for when it might make a difference. Let Duensing and Boyer take their lumps if it gets to that.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 No, that's the plan the Twins came up with, sending Duffey out against this lineup. Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I think Molitor should consider challenging some of those homeruns!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Don't forget guys, the Draft Gem was our best option to start today....... Can we put this to rest already? Berrios will get his shot. Duffey has pitched well enough to get a shot. It's unfortunate it's on the road against a team like Toronto
