You're right, I'm sure pitchers would be terrified of Ozzie and his 25% k rate and .779 OPS--against righties.  And let's just pretend he's not slashing .138/.231/.224 in 16 games since the all-star break, with 19 k's in 58 AB's.

If you're a major league pitcher...say a right handed one...would you rather face Shane Robinson, or Oswaldo Arcia?

Got that right...

And i'm gonna stay awake for the whole game!

(I only missed Hicks' hit 'cause i forgot to turn the sound on...)

I'm day shifted from here on in!

Team is batting :103 over the last five games and we have Eric Fryer, Shane Robinson, and Aaron Hicks back to back after the line-up rolls over.

Who here could have predicted that one day the Minnesota Twins would start a line-up that had these three guys batting back to back to back on the second turn in a line-up.

Brings up memories of Stahoviak , Rich Becker and Pat Mears batting in the same line-up, or the formidable Todd Walker.

Were springing the Thout shall not no my name posse on the Blue Jays, they will not be expecting that.

Pack a lunch Mr Duffey your going to need it, there bringing the beat down posse.

These game line-ups looks like Sharks versus Guppies.

I think the opposite... If the regular lineup is hitting .103... Get a new lineup in there. Nothing frustrates me more than watching a manager put the same slumping lineup in every day. It's why I'd rather not have 3 guys on the bench. 3 guys gives you less to choose from as a possible replacement for a slumping hitter.

You got 25 guys... Play the Hotter ones. I'd sit someone making 23 million if he was hitting like crap.

Go get em Fryer and Robinson.

And GO get em Duffey

Would someone please move Donaldson off the plate?  That's just freaking ridiculous.  Come inside on him and he falls apart.  You don't have to hit him, but holy crap- for years, we've just let people stand there and swing from the heels, pitch after pitch.  Make them a little less comfortable.

Definitely Shane Robinson.  But in the context of the original post, which bemoaned the lack of "terrifying" options behind Sano to keep opposing pitchers honest; number one, Robinson isn't hitting behind Sano, and number two, Arcia isn't terrifying hitting anywhere right now.

Well, crap. I suppose Donaldson will be due for a HR tomorrow.

Remind me why May isn't starting right now? He'd be doing more good in the rotation than in the bullpen.

Mike Pelfrey of course....or consistancy.............or something or other.

I like the look of this kid. He's actually got a live arm and good tilt to his breaking pitches. When he gets over his nerves, he could be a good pitcher.

I'd rather pitch to Arcia because I wouldn't have to throw him strikes.

I'd still rather pitch to Robinson, cause all I'd have to do is throw him strikes.   :)

I think i'd rather pitch to Robinson, 'cause that would mean i was in the majors!

3-2 after 1, Twins with the lead.

CBU, eh?!

I'd edit to say you'd only have to throw pitches in the general vicinity of home plate, and let Ozzie do the work of making them strikes for you, all while providing you with a nice cooling breeze.
