Definitely did not see that coming.

I still remember when the Twins were down by 3 in the Ninth against the Yankees, and two hits, each followed by a home run, won the game for the Twins against the Yankkees.

I will never forget Cruz, literally , hopping down the first base line as he watched his winning hit go over the wall.

Agreed. Feel for royals but glad to be on the other side. These sort of endings always seem to go against us most of the times (esp. in Cleveland). Kody has come up with some big hits against LHP in the last month ... What an underrated transaction from the last year... woo hoo

Kody is a gamer, he puts in the effort. I still think he is a keeper utility man.

Surely watching the condensed game on MLB when it becomes available and forward to b9 inning. Closed my screen when Clemens got to 2 strikes while I was following game online and just elated

I think he has played well defensively given all the moving to different positions. Better than any of the others on the team. Seems strongest at second base.

Another piece of good news is that the Twins will arrive in Seattle before the Mariners.  Seattle has to play a night game in LA against the Dodgers before coming home.

This series by the numbers:

  • Twins pitching staff ERA: 4.00
  • Number of innings that began with the Twins leading: 2 out of 27
  • Number of innings that ended with the Twins leading: 4 out of 27
  • Total number of minutes that the offense showed up for throughout the entire series: <10
  • Percentage of Twins All-Stars who underperformed on the mound or were placed on the IL during the series: 100
  • Probability of winning two out of three games, despite all of the above: not zero, apparently!
