At some point the Twins' batting surge of the past month was going to cool off, and wins would require other strengths. This team is showing resilience in not allowing a bad game to adversely affect the next one -- they've had only one losing streak (3) in the past 30 games. I'm not sure what will come to the rescue tonight, but I have confidence that something will. Winning ugly is still winning.

I enjoyed last night's pun-fest here though the game wasn't fun. I need to focus my humorous thinking, evidently, as too many ideas ruin my concentration and I can't even finish a

No Buxton, Miranda, or Jeffers.
I can't wait to watch Manny Margot-for-four butcher a couple plays in center

Gee does Miranda need a IL stint..? Buck and Jeffers were the guys who hit a little last night.. ah well. Must be another marine layer game. Yeah.

They had two off days this week with the rain out, Buxton couldn't play two more games before taking a week off.  The Twins process or whatever they want to call it is getting maddening.  Put your best lineup out there, quit overthinking it every day.  I really have no desire to see Margot out there in CF or hitting against a RH pitcher.

Sven and Ole, brothers, live next door to each other.

They were talking over the fence between their yards.

"Ole," said Sven, " you mebbe should getcha some new curtains for da house."

"Now vy would wouldja say sumptin like dat," says Ole. "You know I hate ta spent money on dat kinda stuff."

"Vell now I know you're yust pullin' my leg," says Ole. "I vasn't even home last night."

I thought Buxton had a little difficulty at the end of the long run to try catch the ball late in the game last night. Maybe that's why he's out. I'm so pleasantly surprised that he has played CF this much already that I'm okay with continuing to try this to keep him healthy all year. I would rather have Castro in CF though, which is where Julien would help out.

Not sure why I haven't thought of this before, but I wonder if players from the 1960s experienced PTSD today when they looked at the online schedule and saw "Gibson" listed as the starter for St. Louis.

Castro was not good at 2nd yesterday and Julien would be worse.

I'd like to like but I can't. Hope the ball flies a little further for the good guys in the daylight hours.

For real, what is roccos problem?

In 2 days everyone gets 5 days off. Buxton

Sat on the 9th (postponed)

1 of 2 on the 10th

Day off on the 11th

Played yesterday

Sitting today

Arguably our hottest hitter. How is he supposed to stay in a rhythm like this?

It was probably a scheduled day off that was planned at the beginning of the season. And you do not dare mess with the schedule or adapt to the situation such as a rain out during the week.

The Miranda soreness makes the decision to bring up Camargo look really dumb.  Now, you've hamstrung yourself all over the field because Castro has to play 2B/3B instead of being in the outfield.  What's the over/under on innings played by Camargo over these next 2 days, like 2 1/2?

Now...if Julien is getting close to using up all of his options by coming up for a weekend and then going back at the end of the ASB, I can understand keeping him in StP.

The thing I find most interesting is that there is an MLB pitcher named Birdsong. Wonder if he’s halfelven?

I hope he is chaotic at any rate.

Options are on a yearly basis, and the Twins already exercised his option for 2024.

Bringing him up and/or sending him back down are inconsequential as far as options.

Well here comes the fun:

Correa scratched due to a heel contusion.  Lee moves to 2nd, Castro to short.  Your starting 3rd baseman??

Christian Vazquez.

Get the popcorn ready!!

🤣🤣🤣

I immediately thought this was just a good troll post.  This team got THIN in a very short amount of time.   I can only imagine if they were at home instead of in the Bay that Julien would be up for someone.

Vazquez has played a total of 19 innings at 3rd in his career.   Should be entertaining.  Also a bit odd Lee isn't at SS and Castro at 2nd IMO.

Cleveland prevails in St. Pete, 4-2, Looking like we'll need SWR to dominate tonight to stay 4.5 back. I'm hopeful such will happen, not that I'd admit otherwise.

I am SO mad.  I finally get to see a televised game and no Buxton!   Curious how many on this site get to watch games regularly?

Crazy stuff in Pennsylvania, yikes

Phillies getting 11 runs on the A's isn't all that crazy.  The egg they laid on offense last night was pretty kooky though.
