Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 The Twins need to keep on going … let’s get the rubber game and take this series! Patzky, Twins_Fan_in_NJ and Fatbat 3
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Arrighetti strikes out a lot of batters but also gets hit hard. Here's hoping SWR duplicates his prior performance against his home town team and the Twins take the series. I'll say... Twins 8 Astros 6 wabene and m-i-e-n-t-k-i-e-w-i-c-z 2
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I'm gonna type out his whole name, just because.* Simeon Woods Richardson. (Woah! I spelled his first name right on the first try) *Or to make a literary reference: "Because i belong to that particular description of good old man to whom the truth is a refreshing novelty." wabene, Twins_Fan_in_NJ, Craig Arko and 1 other 4
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Kind of a milepost game IMHO. The Astros have been on a long trip, winning two series coming to Minnesota. The Twins have won a bunch of series in a row against bad (Oakland), medium (Arizona) and good (Seattle in Seattle) teams. For the Twins to add a series win against the Astros puts them above Houston in a tiebreaker and solidly in line for the second wild card, if they can't catch Cleveland. It wouldn't be the end of the world with a loss, but Houston then looks to be the better team going forward. It will be tough to hold either team down iMHO. It should be a high-scoring game where the team that takes the best advantage of opportunities wins the game. Go Twins! Twins_Fan_in_NJ, FlyingFinn, USAFChief and 2 others 5

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 No Alvarez for Houston. No Miranda for the Twins.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I can understand the Miranda rest day if the wrist is still a bit sore from the HBP. A bit of a hole in the 4-5 spot with no Lewis or Miranda there.
