    Is today the falls equivalent to APRILfools day? This is the exact kind of joey Gallo type of contract that you NEVER sign.

    Not even an issue since the organization doesn’t have a legitimate 1B at the moment. How can anyone expect you to even name a guy. Possibilities are endless….

    If his swing is finally starting to be legitimately developed, he will make it to MLB. At 23, he wont be around MLB forever but at least he is “available” to play every day. He isn't a big guy but he has durability so don’t sleep on him. with the legit swing, he plays across the river half of ‘27 and might just kick in the MLB door in ‘28 when the lockout finally ends. Later than preferred plate skills development but the defense and stolen base speed is legit. He is definitely a breakout candidate for ‘27.

    He is just turning 21. and starting to show signs of maturity. AA is a possibility if his growth continues.

    Id put my $$$ on Jeffers in Yankee pin stripes. 4 yr $75M w/ option for 5th yr. bummer cause we won’t pay more.

    At 21 yo in the ‘27 season, he is going to get all the development time he needs between A+ and hopefully end up at AA in august. If he develops the quick, he will not be over looked by anyone. Lackey and Tinney will be right there with him in development chasing Tait thru the minors. After years of neglecting the C spot, the org has made a significant improvement in choosing to invest in it. I would bet that 3 of the top 6 C’s in our organization will become extremely good to great MLB’rs in time. None of it helps varsity in early ‘27 but they are all heading in the right development direction!

    Probably not but the Twins need 3 reliable high end guys that they don't have in house if they want an elite bullpen. Zoll should take a huge swing or 2 in FAgency.

    Yes they have to trust the 3 rookies and dive into the pool of more rookies. Marek Houston on the opening day roster makes the Twins a better team. If KC is playable at SS, he can become a gold glove 2B and we all know MH is going to hold down SS until the Twins cant afford to pay him. Martin needs to be the 5th OF. He isn't good enough to be anything more. 4 man OF of the guys that show up when healthy and rotate 2 of them into DH. We probably have another prospect or 2 that can fill in when an injury occurs. The ‘27 team is going to be young and exciting!!! Go buy a bullpen cause these kids are going to rally in the 8th and 9th. Buy someone that can hold onto the game!!!

    I would argue that Reed’s signing was actually successful. It brought talent to a team that needed exactly what he had. ‘18 started out great and we may never learn what really happened after his first season. I would be interested in knowing if it was his body that couldn't handle the game any longer or if it was more a mental block from his first significant injury and its subsequent recovery issues. Either way, he was a great risk/reward guy and it was a contract type that should be used again. Sign guys in their prime, at the top of their game. 2year contracts are never bad. The recent Twins have waaaay more bad contracts signed for guys past their prime that have resulted in a mediocre team. Year after year.

    #1 is a great suggestion. Sign 2 of them while you’re at it. Be bold. Spend some $$$. #2 Sure, but it won’t happen. We have a hole at C and Jeffers wont/shouldn't be around to fill it. Bold is focusing on the biggest issue and making it the smallest. #3 trading prospects for mlb talent is great but you are receiving someone that another club is willing to let go. We aren’t very good at identifying players to trade for, let alone keep guys that quickly become mlb regulars (Steer, CES,Hoffman,Varland….) long list of guys either traded away of simply not kept on the roster. Bold is to not make the wrong moves as many times as they do. Bold moves. Bring back Luis Arraez. Dont bring back Larnach. (Not bold actually) Bench Lewis if he has a slump and let him watch games for days, give him garbage time. Check his ego. Thats bold. wish I had more time to identify 4-5 guys to fill the roster holes but I…. am not Zoll.

    If he isn’t going to be ready until he is 24yo and takes up a roster spot starting in 2weeks, it will be much like Erod, spends all the milb options before getting called up. Without injures, his development could be a yr faster, in which case, rostering him now makes sense because the twins need a RH OF with his skillset. It just needs development so on a scale of MLB ready, is he 70% or 85% now? What will he be at after another full season?

    Drafting HS hopefuls and low floor college sluggers that suck at defense in the first rd that wash out can set back a franchise for years. The Twins excel at that talent evaluation. The rest of the draft has hits and misses like everyone.

    Yeah, He has made about $38M i in n baseball. If he has invested well, he should have about $15-20M net worth at his age. Even pitching for another year or two sets him up for early retirement 😂

    Thats interesting! He must want an easily tradable contract to be a hired gun and bounce to a potential playoff team.

    I wouldn’t value him at 10.5m/season. Especially on a 3 yr deal.

    Hopefully A.Martin gets off to a strong start in ‘27 so his stock rises and he can be in a trade package in July when M. Houston gets called up. Then Clemons can move to super util/IF/OF.

    YM is killin it in Arizona so it wouldn’t surprise me if he is added to the 40. Send him to AA in the spring and teach him 1B!!! Then we will know a lot more if he will ever make it to MLB with the Twins!

    There are a few guys that need to be let go but it might be better to keep them around to throw into a trade. Others can be stashed in AAA. Guys like Gray and Sabato will pass thru waivers. The FO has to prioritize hiring MLB talent and dropping the fringe with low ceilings.

    He wont need to be protected because no team will keep him on an active roster in ‘27. He isnt close enough to MLB yet.

    Hey 2019 bomba squad season was super fun but it got us nothing but a hold over hangover for years. I would take 10 high obp guys on a roster with a couple sluggers and a base running specialist every time. The twins really have dropped the ball up until recently in drafting and trading for the best type of player to win consistently.

    Plaid is a definite must! No purple either…. We dont need to steal from the Vikes… or Prince. And why can’t we have more than one color theme? Make the team spend some $$$$. Green plaid in the spring turning to red and orange in Autumn. Plenty of historic color patterns throughout the state!!

    They both had fantastic seasons! I view Houston as #2 in the batting order if he gets the call up to MLB in ‘27. His Obp will likely be his calling card like LK so in coming years, the two of them will be a nightmare for pitchers to navigate. Jenkins will probably settle into the 4/5 slot and be an RBI machine! I honestly don’t care that he ran into a wall and got injured, I care more that he doesn’t do it again and become the next Buxton! To be the best, you have to play every game! For ‘26, I would give the award to Jenkins simply because he made it to MLB and did well getting his feet wet. Houston will be right behind him and likely called up to AAA if he shows even a little more development in spring training. He actually should probably start in AAA on opening day. Get him used to playing in cold weather!! It would be nice to not be able to give Houston the award for best prospect in ‘27 because he plays for the Twins as of June1!!

    Reminds me of Larry Bird dropping 47 pts on the trailblazers LEFT HANDED and saving his right handed shot for the Lakers. Celtics won both game btw.
