    Given the Twins track record of languishing with under productive veterans, I am shocked that this move actually happened! The FO is finally wasting little time in auditioning prospects to see who will stick long term. Fedko has a great opportunity and it would be awesome if he seizes the all important utility OF position. At 26 years old, he still has plenty of years that could be very important to the organization.

    Winoker is going to be a stud. Give him a couple years to hit his ceiling and you will see 40HR’s, 40 SB’s and .350obp in MLB. 3B, CF and 1B as he matures would be awesome! He is still so young, sit back and enjoy his development. He will be great to watch in a Twins uniform !!!

    KC leading off and doing damage in the lineup is what they need. He will be fine defensively so it really shouldn’t matter if they are 5 games down or 15 down in the standings. He can’t possibly be worse than what we currently have on the roster. Play the best players.

    Great points. Seems like whoever is pulling the strings, has shorter strings attached to every badly performing player than years past.

    Agreed! The only other thing keeping KC from the everyday SS duties on varsity is Arcia actually hitting a baseball on a regular basis.

    Anyone goes onto the Il from the infield, KC better be the next guy up and in the MLB!

    It’s time to bring Royce and KC up to the varsity squad. There are 2 of any 6 guys that can be let go or optioned.

    Someone should start a list of the current roster that could beDFA’d and then traded for “cash considerations”…. and another list of who would not get “cash considerations “.

    Raya is on the 40 man and may get a call up to pitch in a game then sent back down. Lots of young guys with options that can taxi across the river.

    Where was this philosophy when margot 0/277 and Gallo struck out 763 times?

    Jacob Wilson was drafted a few spots behind Walker Jenkins and he has already been an allstar. Drafting for someone on a 4-5 year plan is always risky. Drafting college players minimizes the risk by almost 2%. Drafting the best available is a tough endeavor!

    He is definitely worth the risk at a premium position. Kinda reminds me of Mauer but more developed power in his swing. I would not be surprised if he is picked 1 or 2 tho.

    First question is very puzzling. Had to be some internal issue that we may never know. Raya is a bit of a question mark still. Looks like he started for the Saints in his last appearance so perhaps they are keeping him stretched out if the varsity club needs an emergency replacement?

    This is a messy issue but shouldn’t winning baseball games with the best players available be the underlying reason to bring guys up and send others down?

    How does constantly criticizing a guy in the minors because his development is slower than some or non linear help the player or organization as a whole? Some frustrating situations happen and can be built on but berating a prospect that is drafted at 18-21 yo and not making it to the bigs until 26 isn’t really productive but it happens all the time. To your point of no world Series trophy in 35 years, its way deeper that prospect criticism. The Twins have been a hot mess in the FO and mgment way more than players not developing timely.

    Anyone know what Mendez lacks besides power? Is his defense horrible? Is he slow on the bases? LH 6’3” 1B with a .400+ OBP seems like someone the varsity club needs!

    The starting pitching has been a crazy positive. If the bullpen can be competent, we at least have a chance in every game. Going forward, they need to lean into the young guys and get them experience in MLB. Deal with the growing pains this season so we are a step ahead for ‘27.

    Crazy how people hate on prospects. Anyone under 26/27 should be off limits to heavy criticism. Most don’t figure it all out but at least they live and breathe baseball for years , trying to find a way to MLB.
