    With Erod and Jenkins in the Twins lineup daily, we probs win 7of 10 games. Its clearly service time manipulation that they are both in AAA yet.

    Any 19 yo can either develop(some way late) and some just catch fire until they burn out. This kids obviously wasn’t highly touted for his defensive acumen or he would have a temporary MiLB spot. Does anyone know if a coach at any level has taken interest in teaching him a position? Does he have a rocket for an arm? The kid could be could be special or he could be out of baseball by age 23. what he has done this season, don’t expect him to disappoint for the next decade.

    @bean5302 There is a long list of rookies that have impacted MLB in pennant chases for decades. Most recently Baez for the Cardinals yesterday. WJ has dealt with injuries this season and his whole milb/hs career but he is currently HEALTHY and the results are very productive. Impressive actually. The Twins 100% need a better bat and defense in the OF. Set aside the manipulation for the lockout/service time, There is no reason to keep WJ across the river. Throw him in the deep end. He knows how to swim.

    We will never “know” but it’s definitely manipulation so since we are past the lose eligibility date, they can still manipulate no more than 128 PA. Expect Jenkins to be called up this week. We are only a game out of the playoffs so he can immediately impact the race and playoff service time doesn’t count. The Twins definitely need more skilled players so saying TL, AM or LK are blocking WJ, is a bit of a stretch based on what may be a short term hot streak. AM is not on one atm and should be used only for late game PR and in game situational matchups. A run at next years ROY will be exciting but so should this years playoff run!

    The kids are playing white hot!! Jenkins should be in MLB!!! The next few seasons of these young kids finding their way in MLB is going to be super fun to watch. The minors are stacked with potential and they will knock the door down if they keep developing and stay focused. Best underlying stat metric is the plate discipline of these kids. Control the zone, hit to the opposite field or take the walk. Good times!!!

    Like Buxton, Lewis is going to age like a fine wine. Injuries just suck but when healthy, Lewis is a super star talent. At 27 yo, he should be signed to. 5-6yr deal in the $17.5M/yr range. Under $20M just because of his availability issues. Cheap Pohlads will never take the chance on him tho.

    Probably a 7% chance at 0-10. Id be closerto actuality to guess .400 obp in his first 10 pa. Either way…. He will have a very long leash.
