  1. It’s very exciting to see a local kid that attended community college, on the cusp of an MLB debut!!! Hoping he has a solid season and career!! He is sure to be a fan favorite for years to come at target field. Just turning 24yo in the next month, wouldn’t it be awesome to get his MLB debut on his birthday!!?!! 4/22 spot start against the Mets, someone make it happen!!
  2. What a loaded team! Good times in St. Paul this season!!! Probably see several of them make an impact across the river as well.
  3. The saints have probably 3 mlb SP ‘s, the rest are MLB RP’s. The team is loaded with talent!! Gonna be an exciting season!!!
  4. LK and Abel for the win. Will have a few more impact younger stars by July. Definitely not sold on some of the opening day roster.
  5. The only beef twins fans should ever have with C4 is his lack of healthy productive playing time. Other than that, he is a stand up guy!!
  6. It has to be a change in philosophy. They sent a dozen guys out, young and old last year so they could get younger, better and CHEAPER. Younger and better is a good thing while being absolutely CHEAP is the issue. Since we have to be CHEAP, we might as well be young. Take our lumps and bumps of inexperience and build up some young studs.
  7. I heard Joey Gallo is available for long relief. It makes no sense that anyone is pining for Hendrix. How about put Matthews. Raya, Preillip and Festa in the bullpen short term since we got Abel in the rotation. Its about building a young core of guys that will be here for years. Not about scavenging the scrap heap of failure.
  8. @savikingYou beat me to it. The bull pen will be on par with the metrodome revolving doors.
  9. Yeah, he played that well in AA and AAA @ 21/22 YO while dealing with several serious injuries. He is healthy now, crushing the ball and playing versatile above average OF defense. …. and we have to watch AAAA guys and Larnach (mr. MLB average) ride the struggle bus. We aren’t going to the playoffs with Larnach, Outman and Clemons taking up roster spots unless they all play at a higher level than they ever have. If that scenario squeezes Erod out of MLB until Sept, I will be their biggest fans but the chances of that scenario is less than 7%. We have nothing to lose by playing rookies alot this season.
  10. Its a crime that he wont be on the opening day roster. We gotta watch guys that can’t hit until sometime after the season becomes a joke.
  11. @Nick NelsonWould he even want to opt out. Its not like there is a line of clubs looking for a slow SS that doesn’t hit much.
  12. Matthews at some point may be destined for a bullpen role. Both him and Festa seem to be short inning starters because they cant get thru a lineup 3 times effectively. Abel seems to have outperformed all the other young SPs.
  13. Since he has an option, he will be in AAA where he should be. The twins love a bat first profile and thats not him right now. Maybe later this season or next…
  14. We need all the sharp pitching we can get April thru October . March is less important. Ober and Ryan will be fine.
  15. He will clear waivers so why not dfa him? Martin is on that same path… who wants speed but no bat. So far, Gabby and Erod who are both on the 40 man and are out playing everyone. Send a message to the vets by putting those 2 guys in the outfield in game 1.
  16. If a bunch of these high end upper minors guys make it to the show in 26/27 and stick, will our minors be considered tapped out of talent or not? We have alot of prospects, but are any of them gonna be super stars?
  17. Great article and its gonna be exciting if he gets that opportunity this season! Looking at the reality of guys in front of him, I see the organization holding Jenkins back until a September call up and priming exactly what you describe…. for 2027. Many of us would pull the trigger in May of 2026 and just go with Erod and Jenkins but the organization just wont do that. Erod is on the 40 man so he will get the first shot in ‘26. I would have him on the 26man out of camp but sadly, he most likely wont be given that roster spot even tho he will earn it.
  18. All 3 of them have issues to work out. Its going to be a make or break season for them and others. I would add Martin and Lee to a develop your skills or become just an average fill in role player type.
  19. Sometime along the path to MLB, someone should have taught Larnach and Wallner how to play 1B. They tried it with Kiriloff and that worked until his arm fell off. They preach redundancy but failed to build a viable 1B man.
  20. The 2026 prospects list looks 10 times better than ‘22’s. Its nice to look back, certainly for us fans but the teams future is much stronger now. It appears spring training is weeding out some non productive players so we should be able to play some decent ball until our current list of prospects open a playoff contention window in the next year or two.
  21. 20 different guys will likely cycle thru the pen. Optimization left with Duran/Jax so we might as well pick any 8 and see who sticks around.
  22. Whats taking him so long to develop?😂 seriously tho, he could be in Wichita by august if he consistently hits the strike zone.
  23. He will develop a MLB bat. Might be comped to Gagne as his career develops. We could use that type for the next decade.
  24. Based on his career, he seems to be in midseason form and one of our top 8 RP’s. Thats not saying much other than, our bullpen needs help that even he can’t provide…. Per usual….
  25. The new Pohlad can’t commit to younger players because if they have speed bumps which they will, he will have to burn the team down. He is traveling the safer road of playing marginal talent in the hopes that 1 or two hit and his current stars shine bright. Sprinkle in some rookie when an injury happens, because injuries happen. Then finish a blah season by kicking the well oiled, dusty can down the road…. Again and again. Some kids grow up to drive cars and run professional organizations….. not here.
