  1. First question is very puzzling. Had to be some internal issue that we may never know. Raya is a bit of a question mark still. Looks like he started for the Saints in his last appearance so perhaps they are keeping him stretched out if the varsity club needs an emergency replacement?
  2. This is a messy issue but shouldn’t winning baseball games with the best players available be the underlying reason to bring guys up and send others down?
  3. How does constantly criticizing a guy in the minors because his development is slower than some or non linear help the player or organization as a whole? Some frustrating situations happen and can be built on but berating a prospect that is drafted at 18-21 yo and not making it to the bigs until 26 isn’t really productive but it happens all the time. To your point of no world Series trophy in 35 years, its way deeper that prospect criticism. The Twins have been a hot mess in the FO and mgment way more than players not developing timely.
  4. Anyone know what Mendez lacks besides power? Is his defense horrible? Is he slow on the bases? LH 6’3” 1B with a .400+ OBP seems like someone the varsity club needs!
  5. The starting pitching has been a crazy positive. If the bullpen can be competent, we at least have a chance in every game. Going forward, they need to lean into the young guys and get them experience in MLB. Deal with the growing pains this season so we are a step ahead for ‘27.
  6. Crazy how people hate on prospects. Anyone under 26/27 should be off limits to heavy criticism. Most don’t figure it all out but at least they live and breathe baseball for years , trying to find a way to MLB.
  7. Should have optioned him a year ago for a couple months of reset. He will be back and be a star again. Its 💯 mental. It would be awesome to see Fedko promoted and continue hammering the ball thereby proving our mlb braintrust incompetent.
  8. Since we have plenty of young players with options, we might as well lean into that potential. See what shakes out this season!
  9. It’s as if the Tampa pitching mgr told Gomez to throw his 3 worst pitches often “and he did”. The Twins wisdom team tells Gomez DONT throw those 3 pitches “and he hasn’t”. Are we brilliant or does someone in Tampa need to be replaced?
  10. The past 1.5 yrs has been a disaster. Royce is young enough to turn it around but he’s gonna get more bench time until he figures it out. KC is on a heater and will force the issue soon.
  11. @RpR Nicely stated facts. Buck is having an historically great start in ‘26! Both defense and offense. Like a fine wine, he is aging well and taking care of himself. Being available every day is now his super power which he is seems to be enjoying! Too bad the team doesn’t have a viable bullpen to win in the late innings.
  12. Lewis is in AAA. Rehabbing and smashing HRs. Leaving him there would seem like a waste of his time.
  13. Its not that hard to throw Outman away. Start Erod in RF and use Wallner off the bench. Someone sot him down and give him a 1B mit. If we get a lack of run support against the Mets, maybe something will change.
  14. We knew there were going to be some ugly baseball moments. It’s going to take time to get thru the speed bumps. The bullpen needs help, SWR needs to catch a break or two.
  15. Truth! and if he comes back next week and lights it up in May and June, Twins go 12-15 games over .500. He won’t go anywhere and his value will be sky high.
  16. Its just time to bring up some young bloods. Erod is healthy and raking across the river. Why waste him there? Rotate 5 quality OF’s based on matchups, not rostering a guy cause he has 1 tool in his toolbox. Thats just dumb. Just as dumb as not getting Wallner or Larnach a 1B’s glove.
  17. Redundancy in AAAA players is frustrating for fans when the next young superstar is close to arriving. Absolutely nothing is gained by keeping outman on the 40 man. The “lets find the next Willy Castro” experiment didn’t work in the Outman trade. It might work with Kreidler but its a super small sample size. It’s hard to put much stock in it yet.
  18. Its a speed bump in his career. He will be fine. Might be due to a nagging injury or disappointment of not making the MLB ODR. He has plenty of good baseball in him.
  19. I wanted to be positive about last years sell off but trading away Duran and Varland just made me mad. I am coming around as winning cures everything. We obviously wont keep winning 8 of 9 but they could win .583 consistently if the pitching and hitting is even just above league average.
  20. Martin as a OBP leader and on base pest is exactly what MLB and the Twins need! If he can even be average in the OF, he will get 600 PA this year and score over 100 runs. This team actually is fun to watch and Martin is a very exciting role player!!
  21. Hopefully Morris can be decent in the bullpen because it was awful yesterday.
