    We should actually be surprised that he already had surgery. Secondly, who wants buxton playing in march and April anyhow? He would just get hurt and not be available July-October when we really need him on the active roster. Let the kids play next spring and bring in an unbroken Buxton in June to heat up and let it rip in late summer!!! Ya’ll are short sighted.

    At 6’2”, he looks like he has natural talent. Time is on his side at 21yo so he might just climb up to AA by the end of ‘27. Keep grinding kid!!

    He isnt that big of a defensive liability. If Luis Arraez can become a gold glove, LK can learn to play defense.

    Winning any of these final games means nothing. Its about evaluating players for next season. They should have sold some of the vets at the trade deadline but I understand keeping them if the return was also bad. TL and others probably had almost no trade value. For the last week, I could care a less about watching TL, Bell and Caratini…. Play the kids!!

    Seems like a lot of athletes that life massive weights for strength but lose flexibility and agility. Hopefully they keep KC on the shelf and get a good look at Ross.

    @DocBauer You covered a lot of ground! If all the SP return healthy, we got that covered that with depth and youth. 1B and DH are big question marks and have been revolving doors for a few seasons. DH should probably be just a bunch of dudes that is riding a hot bat but needs a rest day from playing in the field. Its not a bad plan to rotate DH. 1B needs to be an anchor and whoever is there should have allstar potential as well as gold glove potential. Why settle for less? Give Sabato a look, he might be a Rooker type. I doubt it but its possible. The biggest questions I have. If we send 3 to 4 guys out the door, who do you bring in? How many proven vets do you shop for and what is the budget?

    Lewis at 2nd base should be a starting point, exactly like 3B was this spring. If Lewis fails to profile there and have a positive ops+ and OAA, then you keep him there, otherwise, move him permanently. With Sabato on the 40 man, he could be a stop gap 1B but again, only if his bat plays. We can deal with K’s if hisOPS is .800 and he hits 30 bombs. Otherwise, his experience in MLB will be short lived. There is always a DH position available most days if Buck is healthy but once again. The DH has to hit the damn ball consistently especially with RISP. Something that has been lacking most of this season since the allstar break.

    Royce will likely get one last look but 5-7 have been replaced by high upside rookies. A nice crop of more rookies in ‘27&’28 will build a much deeper and better team. Crazy to think the Erod Culpepper and Jenkins are all going to chase the ‘27 ROY!

    QO to Jeffers that he will decline. TL will be non tendered. RL will be a cheap plan A at 1B. Twins will be a young team in ‘27.

    14 teams currently between 64 and 76 wins. Parody at its worst.

    The lineup conveniently placed all the hits next to non hitters to minimize damage (runs scored). Our RISP has sucked for the last 50+ games. Its as if we are tanking.

    Buck isnt going to take away AB’s in ‘27. He will get his and everyone else will get theirs. We actually should have a nice mix of LH and RH OF bats. Hendry Mendez should spend the offseason learning 1B. Dude has the bat already. Tinney might be in Wichita by July so Royce might be playing his last season n MN. Houston and Winokur need to bring their best AB’s to AAA in ‘27. They, along with Mendez should be the ‘27 rookie crop standouts! A few other guys in AAA and AA need to develop their game to get any serious run in MLB. Tanking is probably in the best long term interest of the ‘26 Twins. Get your development in but lose on the scoreboard. A top 6 pick would be nice next July!

    Any small market team (revenue sharing payee) that picks in the top 6 for 2 consecutive seasons is not eligible for the lottery the next season. Houston was pick #16 in 2025 so the Twins will be in the lottery in ‘27

    Pretty sure Buck has made it clear that he is staying here and playing with these kids. If only we had a 1B man ….. Its been malpractice that Erod had to wait this long to debut!! 2027 is gonna be exciting after the lockout…..

    If the Twins signed Erod to an MLB contract, they will not be able to stash him in AAA even for a day. ….and they should sign him to an extension and play him in MLB. He has a huge upside allstar ceiling.

    He should be in MLB. Its not like his lack of hitting would have cost the Twins a playoff spot.

    Emma must have rubbed someone in mgmnt the wrong way. They are always looking in a different direction when it comes to bringing up young guys. He has been on the 40 man and been ignored for 2 seasons. Injuries are only part of the story. There has to be more.
