  1. Plaid is a definite must! No purple either…. We dont need to steal from the Vikes… or Prince. And why can’t we have more than one color theme? Make the team spend some $$$$. Green plaid in the spring turning to red and orange in Autumn. Plenty of historic color patterns throughout the state!!
  2. They both had fantastic seasons! I view Houston as #2 in the batting order if he gets the call up to MLB in ‘27. His Obp will likely be his calling card like LK so in coming years, the two of them will be a nightmare for pitchers to navigate. Jenkins will probably settle into the 4/5 slot and be an RBI machine! I honestly don’t care that he ran into a wall and got injured, I care more that he doesn’t do it again and become the next Buxton! To be the best, you have to play every game! For ‘26, I would give the award to Jenkins simply because he made it to MLB and did well getting his feet wet. Houston will be right behind him and likely called up to AAA if he shows even a little more development in spring training. He actually should probably start in AAA on opening day. Get him used to playing in cold weather!! It would be nice to not be able to give Houston the award for best prospect in ‘27 because he plays for the Twins as of June1!!
  3. Reminds me of Larry Bird dropping 47 pts on the trailblazers LEFT HANDED and saving his right handed shot for the Lakers. Celtics won both game btw.
  4. Its priority based decisions that blow up in every org but especially with the twins pitching staff. Someone constantly is sending risk out the door. Then they firesale the future expensive talent. Someone who made all those bad decisions better have been removed from the organization by now. We can’t keep them all but sending all the future talent away is why we are perpetually average.
  5. KC likely has an assignment of adjusting to and not chasing breaking pitches out of the zone. Its a tougher adjustment that most prospects realize. i agree that this crop and the next two years of rookies wont all be stars but if they can be role players that produce positive WAR, the Twins will be playing October ball regularly!! We will need to buy a bullpen guy or two tho.
  6. Witt and PCA…. No one is close to either of them.
  7. Lee works best at 3B. He doesn’t have the range for 2B. Also, KC & MH up the middle, no ground balls get to the OF!
  8. Houston’s ceiling is perennial allstar. Get him to St.Paul asap and promote him by july to varsity. LetsGO!!!
  9. We need more pitching and baseballs. Sign them both and then trade them for a bag of balls and a potential belly itcher.
  10. They wouldn’t be missed much, unless they somehow become allstars!
  11. Im not saying it’s the right thing to do. Just an observation based on previous experience. If only we could also get rid of Gray and Martin to get some decent bench depth….
  12. 100% Ober and Lewis get tendered. Ober goes to the bullpen to get 3-4 outs every other game. Cheap outs. Lewis get tendered because he is cheap and the FO will take a bet on him finally figuring it out. It also allows them to use him as a utility guy if doesn’t grow into a productive everyday 1B. Tall order but worth the $5M bet. Kremer and Banda will also be back because they provide value. One more season for Sands is probs 50/50.
  13. Big opportunities for young prospects to take a jump up! It will be fun watching Houston, Winokur, Diaw and others grow.
  14. There is a young crop of pitchers developing but none of them have taken a huge step towards MLB. Hopefully’27 will bring that development into play. Houston and Mendez definitely took a step forward in the batters box but both have plenty of development to go before they are called up. Winokur needs even more. They upper minors has thinned out with all the rookies mKing their debut but those milb spots will be filled and with talented kids!!
  15. But what if he would have played 2 days later and injured his leg worse. Then the pitchforks would be out for the training staff… who got fired anyhow….
  16. ‘27 opening day roster is going to be a lot like the end of ‘26. There is a lot of youth and tons of ceilings not hit yet. Might get one blockbuster trade that sends Lewis/ober or someone else out but the kids will stay and they will play. Hopefully a front line pitcher shows up but not likely.
  17. Getting a great trade return for Ryan isn’t going to happen. IF a drop the pants offer came across Zolls desk, he would have to seriously consider it. But thats NOT likely. The FO should be trying to acquire better pitching, hitting and fielding, not selling it off. Novel idea, sign Ryan and Jeffers to a contract extension. They each could get around 6yrs/$100M on the FA market. How about just pay it and lock them up.
  18. The Twins are missing 4-5 legit MLB pieces. Even if the money is there to buy them, will the best available be bought?
  19. Lee just hit his prime. If he stops chasing while improving his bad ABs, he will be solid at the plate for 6-10 years. Or he could regress. His ceiling may be 3-4WAR/season or it may be 5-6. If Lee and the rest of the kids are 3-5 WAR next season, we make a deep playoff run. I’d bet on Lee being a 1 to2 time allstar.
  20. Great building blocks but until its done in MLB, its just a nice MiLB accomplishment. 4 likely very good role players someday. Hopefully Ross checks that box in ‘27 with Twins.
  21. @Twodogs How about starting the season with a 6 man rotation? Pablo is/will be somewhat limited. Ryan has been suffering from burnout. An extra days rest might keep the SP’s healthier until the weather heats up. By the time the end of the season rolls around, it’s about total innings that the best pitchers get. We got quality depth and we should use it to our advantage. Ober goes to the pen. He is no longer starter quality. Lopez, Ryan, Bradley, Preillip, Matthews and Kremer. Abel in AAA as the next man up. Festa hopefully is healthy and can be available for more depth. However it shakes out, we have quality depth but it would always be nice to sign a front line starter via free agency or get one in a trade.
  22. Ober is good value if he can be a bullpen beast. We need more solid guys that get outs in the late innings. It would be foolish not to try him there. Kremer is still a solid starter for now. He seems to have taken a step up after the trade and delivery tweaks. He should be penciled into the #5 spot and dominate his games against most other #5s in MLB. Keep them both!
  23. Erod. If he would have been on Varsity this spring. He would not have been sliding into base getting injured with the Saints. Varland, Hedrick, Lewis and a few others over the last few years. They consistently keep Prospects in AAA as absolutely long as they can with options until they run out. Then they lose guys without getting them a long runway in MLB. Rooker is a prime example. They also lost a couple seasons of Hoffman because he was out of options. FO mismanagement.
